My father just passed on March 31st. He was a big UK fan. He was the one that got into UK Basketball. He lost his battle with cancer and the Lord took him home last Tuesday. Not sure how my mother is going to cope, being married to someone over 50 years. Please pray for her and my family. I created a gofundme page to help with the funeral cost and other expenses. Also he didn’t lose his battle. That was a tie. We don’t ever give that damn awful horrible godforskaen disease any credit.
I doesn’t get easier per se. But you get stronger. And you honor them each day you keep going.

Speaking from experience, the family your momma has left becomes all the more precious to her. Reach out as much as you can. Might not be much if you've got a family and career of your own, but whenever and wherever possible, reach out.
She'll never fully move on, nor should that be expected, but her babies and any grandbabies will warm her heart in ways only she can know until she's reunited with your pops.
