Probably best for the program long term if he ends up at UK and we still have the disaster of a season many are predicting.

You love somebody at least said to "not turn your back on your home state".

At least I know he knows it now.

He replied to it.

He knows.

There's no excuse for being a traitor now.

We are screwed either way,
1. We get him he is a drama queen that fakes an injury and we lose over 7 million to watch him sit and go pro.
2. We don't get him and he dominates for Kansas.

I think in the end, you just do not want a kid that does not fully want to be here. I agree with the others, go out and grab some portal guys that can play.
Man I wish we could get a Tom Brady type, if he said give me 3 million and go spend the money on the rest of the roster and lets go ball out. A great roster would improve his draft stock by taking the focus off of him. Not like that 3 mil isn't still life changing money.

Is there a single Kentucky fan Twitter account that isn’t ran by the biggest douchebag you’ve ever met? That is the place that the losers from here must all meet up once they get laughed off this site. Every single one of those Kentucky fan twitter accounts are just awful in every single way possible.

Meanwhile, 18 year olds are sitting in the Middle East wondering if they will come home in a body bag or see their moms again. All of sports sucks.

Weird thread comments guys.

Dude is 18 and millions of dollars on the line.

I also think he goes to Kansas, and I also think if he wants some ridiculous number like $6 to $8 million we would be better off spending that on 2 superstars portal guys equivalent to yaxel or something.

That said... all this inference that he is some bad kid, ego this or that, drama this that....yall are just making up crap out of thin air and I still want the number 1 recruit regardless as long as its not over paying for him.

If we get stokes and paid $7 mil or some ridiculous number, to me that will be as stupid as paying $2 mil for Jaden Q and his bum knee. Even Dybunsta only get 4 mil i think and Stokes isnt as good... he probably would have been only top ten in this stacked class but he's number 1 in a weaker class..

Still want him though, he's a player
Hell no, AJ put up 25ppg, highly doubt TS does that.

If Pope would have already gotten guys like everyone else, we would be in this awful situation with this guy.

You know I'm 61 years old. It's absolutely blown my mind how much these young kids are getting paid to play college ball. They're going to make in about an 8-9 months time frame more money than most folks my age have made in their entire life. Major college sports has turned into a business, big business. I don't think that's a good thing but it is what it's become.

I'm not trying to be morbid, but I don't understand how that relates to this situation at all.

Who cares? move on from this guy. I would much rather have a 22 year old MAN than a kid

It doesn't. All the brave young men and women that are over there are doing it by choice. We didn't have a military draft. The kids that are playing D1 college Hoop are often there because God Blessed them with physical ability and genetics that a very small percentage of the population have. There's no reason to hate on the athletes, and its frankly hypocritical because the person doing the complaining likely watches several hours a week of the very kids he is dogging out

IMO, the kids aren't in the wrong. They aren't holding out or threatening strike, and even if they did, colleges have the ability to say no. But let's be honest....no fan of UK would have given a diddly squat about the $22M number if it had resulted in a Championship...and if UK stood up and said "We refuse to pay one cent to NIL" and the team fielded a hard working group of kids that went 6-26 the entire fanbase would go on tilt

I'd be okay to prioritize Juke Harris instead...
Yeah but how do you do that with a huge offer on the table to Stokes?
Hard to be high bidder for both players.
Stokes should have already had a deadline to accept but today should definitely be the day to commit or the money should be offered to other players
