So the rumored Mems BB roster payroll is 8-10 mil for 2026. What is the women's roster payroll budget?

I am speculating $3M to $4M with $1M being profit sharing. A total swag on my part based on tidbits about different players at other schools.

I'm not to sure the mens budget is twice what the women's is. At least that's not what they were talking about originally. Maybe Ben has altered that disbursement.

Sorry if already posted. This might give some insight to it. This is from a Swarm Impact Report based on a $5.8MM pot. This doesn't include the Rev Share % which are totally different. From my notes, Rev Share (on $20.5MM) in the ballpark of 70-75% FB, 10-15% MBB, ~5% WBB and ~5% rest of sports/athletes.

Soccer needs more. Football was less than 1/4 of the pie? Yikes.
Football: 25.6%

One thing of note, wrestling isn't in there for 2025, but will be next year.

MBB has to be rewarded and I guess that comes from the WBB share.
Or should.
MBB made Elite 8, WBB didn't get past first weekend.
Results matter.

For going 10-10 (9th) in conference? Yeah, i think you better pump the brakes just a bit. Stirtz doesn't get another year either. But they did just got a commit from Storm Lake, right, so i can see the optimism. You're such a troll.

One Iowa basketball team will start ranked next season. Hate to break it to you, but it's the team coached by Jensen.

Sorry no. Women actually sell tickets. Men so far have not.

You can't reward a HC when so much $$$ was wasted on Rodriguez and Deal.

A coach has to realize that there are consequences for bad decisions.

I'd take at least 25%-30% of Jensen's rev share and give it to BM. Maybe more.
Make Jensen earn her share and you can adjust for 27/28, or at least adjust for the new coach.

One team made the Elite 8.
One team flamed out at Sweet 32.

This isn't difficult.

That's just a reminder that our fans SUCK.

I want the women to be successful, like they were everywhere but the NCAA tournament this year. However, I am kind of with him on this. Not every NIL deal will be a homerun but I am feeling pretty burned by Deal and Rodriguez. I hope Jan finds some great portal players to replace them and pay Ava what she's worth (infinity?, jk but I love how she plays).

The guys team did a fantastic job with far less in comparison to other programs. Yes, the regular season came to a thud but those NCAA games are worth their weight in gold. We will have to keep Al, Sage, Koch, Banks, around while keeping new recruits and portal guys interested.

I donated (very little) to both but I put more into the guys program after that run.
