I met with my rep at Welch-Ryan today. He gave me a video presentation of the new stadium and went over the pricing of the Wedt side seats. All of these seats will have designated clubs. The lower and mid level seats, boxes etc will be all inclusive. The loft club seats will have a separate private area that will be cash and carry food/beverage. All seats on the west side will be upgrades .

The East side seats will be standard seats , eventually priced by location but without donations. There is no info on date of release

The West side will be luxurious and the East side practical. Costs will definitely be significantly higher than before.

The donation for West side seats will be reduced for longterm STHs

I have a bad feeling we’re going to have a half empty stadium.

Another STH posted he was told the non-box/specialty seats will start being rolled out to existing donors/STHs in June/July. So expect to hear then.

I hope practical doesn't mean bench seats.

The entire stadium is seats, no more benches.
This is also what I recall them saying. Although, I don't think that was necessary. I personally would have preferred a bench with a back, like I have seen in other stadiums. A padded bench would have been great, but I can carry a bench pad into the stadium.

You would rather have a bench seat with a back instead of an individual seat? Wow, you must have some pretty ladies sitting next to you instead of the oversized farmers in overhauls that sit next to me in most games!

My agent told me May, but maybe I misunderstood him.
Same for me - was told "general" season ticket pricing will be published by the time the club seats go on sale, so people will be able to make an informed choice about whether to go for club or wait for general.

I understand there has been a lot of frustration around how information has rolled out, but if all prices are available by the time we actually have to make our seating selections, I personally think it's all fine. Knowing $875 is the "get in" price for the Loft Club is very helpful. I'm imagining that regular (and desirable) season tickets will be available for $600 for a full season, which is significantly more expensive than 2023 but also "reasonable" for Big Ten football, in Chicago, in what will be the nicest college football stadium in America for at least a little while.

I think after new stadium novelty wears thin there will be lots and lots of less costly seats. And vs big opponents their fans will much outnumber nu’s

Of course..

It was this way when Minnesota opened their stadium. Hottest ticket in town for a couple years and then it's a buyer's market.

Honestly, the seats next to me were usually empty, except for the rare game (not including the temp stadium).

I generally agree with you that this is the smart bet...but I also think the timing of this stadium could be perfect - some excitement around Chip Kelly fielding a watchable offense while the Bears erode their own political capital with locals (and their prices went up over 10 percent on average)...if we were to actually field a Top 30 offense and some eight-win seasons, I think it is a very achievable goal to fill the stadium with 30,000 NU fans regularly.
