UCLA’s length counters our inside game PERFECTLY. They are forcing Okot (good grief) into making shots, and Edwards looks completely neutralized. Latson is a slasher, and that isn’t working…Tessa is being forced to go inside which is not her strength…Raven looking very un-Raven. Just like last year, we matchup poorly w UCLA.
No. You are factually wrong. We have 3 championships, played in our 6th straight F4, and just busted an undefeated UCONN w a masterclass in defense. I think we are TIRED, uninspired, and are a poor matchup to UCLA. It happens.
Terrible coaching today, everyone shooting the ball is our worst shooters out coached plain and simple. expected Dawn to have the team ready, disappointed. another championship thrown away.

Agreed. Okot is just tall. No shooting capability, misses easy 2-foot put backs, handles the ball poorly, and getting outclassed…but she’s still learning, and the WNBA likes her.

I don't know why Okot is counted as a senior but that ecudar pro girl for UConn is only a freshman, she was a pro for 5 years before going to Uconn. but Okot only gets 2 years? strange

I'd argue that consistently choking in the biggest games is not successful.
When it becomes as predictable as the sun rising... you become angry, because you know it's coming.
As I told King (Ward) on yesterday, I was much more worried about this game. In WBB, the team with the biggest, baddest girl usually wins. UCLA has her this year and they have shooters to surround it. Getting our defense spread out and getting the shots they want. They ran through the Big 10 undefeated. People were so concentrated on UConn that they didn't pay it attention. UCLA is a worthy champion this year.

We need a better gameday coach. Dawn can recruit lights out, but can't coach a lick. My opinion. Won't change.
Consistently actually making in to the big games is successful.

Stage 2 of the Dawn Staley hate cycle. Has 3 National Championships and just made the Top Coach in the game lose his mind. Yet, some are talking about her as a Gameday coach. This is not about coaching. UCLA just kicked our *** today. You do what champions do in response. You pick yourself up and try to climb the mountain again.
But without winning them, and consistently getting blown out in them, to the point that it's a definitive pattern... what's the point? This is now back to back title games we've gotten absolutely obliterated. And didn't even win the SECCG. - Pointless. Dawn cannot coach. It's that simple.
