In his first AB, he beats out a sac bunt for a base hit.
Interesting sequence. In Cruz’ first AB, he was HBP. In his next AB, he hit a rocket of the pitcher.
Putting a ball in play and running fast causes things to happen.
Yeah, it seems like there's basically a generation of baseball fans now that don't realize that was a big part of the game for most of its history.
It does concern me that so many of his hits are on the infield. Speed is one of the first things to go and he really depends on his speed for hits.
