When saying "I think" guys will be at this or that weight next year, how about giving some reasons why you think this. For instance when Vega literally says this is the last time I'll have to make this weight, that seems like a pretty good indication he's going up next year to me.

The way that Sergio talks about Swiderski makes it hard for me to believe that he takes Casey's spot his senior year but that could mean that he redshirts and Jordyn Raney wrestles 141, or Jax wrestles 141. It could also mean that Sergio makes the cut again to 141. I agree you give the Raney's at least 5 matches and so we should know what we have with each Raney. I am really interested what our coaches and our room do for the Raney's since they have wrestled in Kentucky ( not a great wrestling State). The same for Ross who if you watched the State Tournament know that he did not have any competition in Iowa or probably in the wrestling room. Wrestling with Konnor and Wyatt could really help Dreshaun.

We're not going to redshirt a returning undefeated national champion because he feels bad about hurting a teammate's feelings. This isn't junior high. Sergio and Swiderski are both professionals and understand well how this thing works.

Swiderski went 3-3 at NCAAs in the weakest of the 10 weights. He only scored 6.5 points. I like him and think he's a great kid with a bright future. But making room for Casey Swiderski is so far down priority list in how we arrange our lineup, you can't even see it.

I agree. Taylor's goal is to win the team championship. I think the best 10 guys in the room will start and the rest will either have to redshirt, ride the bench or leave. That's just the reality of being on a team like this now.

I see it more like earning your spot. It may be more extreme now because there’s denser talent in the room. Good news is that there are plenty of competitive opportunities outside of “collegiate folkstyle starting lineup”
