Why don’t you put what all of our players in the NFL have earned?
Point being Schwarber never made any NIL money either. We have no ideas whether he’s contributing or not. So why put his financials up?The SWARM CEO has tried to get Iowa NFL players (current & former) to donate; he said he has not had any luck because they never got paid when they were in college. I can understand their point.
NFL income doesn’t last long. Taxes take a huge chunk. Agent takes a chunk and career is over before you know it.The SWARM CEO has tried to get Iowa NFL players (current & former) to donate; he said he has not had any luck because they never got paid when they were in college. IU football featured on 60 Minutes
The historic rise of IU football under head coach Curt Cignetti reached even greater heights Sunday evening when the program was featured on iconic CBS news magazine show 60 Minutes. Correspondent …www.thedailyhoosier.com
Does Tastee Freeze still exist in Iowa? When I was a kid there was one across the street from the grandparents house. Great location!!
I'm not sure either. One can only hope!
Pretty sure his comment was laced with sarcasm….if not, as someone pointed out earlier- we have major issues ahead…Neither one is anywhere close to being multi-billionaires like Cuban and Mellencamp. Not. Even. Close.
We could all sell World's Finest chocolate and donate it to NIL. But I prefer to do my part and drink Swarm beer.Should we hold a car wash fundraiser? Will anyone match? Walmart?
I can't. Queue up the "that's just dumb" gif.The SWARM CEO has tried to get Iowa NFL players (current & former) to donate; he said he has not had any luck because they never got paid when they were in college. I can understand their point.
Cry me a river. I made $50 million in 10 years but all I have now is $35.NFL income doesn’t last long. Taxes take a huge chunk. Agent takes a chunk and career is over before you know it.
you need billionaires not millionaires with only a 5-10 year window to make money.
You never collected $35 after taxes and agent fees. Former players that never made a dime from NIL already donated their services to their college. The schools and coaches got very fat off that free service.Cry me a river. I made $50 million in 10 years but all I have now is $35.
Schools used the funds to finance 24 sports programs at the school. Is that getting fat?You never collected $35 after taxes and agent fees. Former players that never made a dime from NIL already donated their services to their college. The schools and coaches got very fat off that free service.
you need billionaires to fun NIL or companies that can use it as advertising.
According to his title, they own the Iowa Head Football Coach. The Moon family; not sure what they are worth
They own the I-80 Truck Stop & not sure what else
IMHO, we have a lot of pro football players who are doing very well financially. They need to step up moreAshton Kutcher & Tom Arnold need to step up
Money makes the world go roundWho would have thought 10 years ago we would ever have a conversation/thread like this-crazy. Ruined college athletics as we used to know it.
Ashton Kutcher doesn't donate to athletics or at least it's not listed. He does donate to the U of I Hospital and to various charities around IC.Curious for those who know… who are Iowa’s richest alum and/or fans? Like, Indiana has Mark Cuban and apparently John Cougar Mellencamp. Does Iowa have people like that who donate to NIL?
Ashton Kutcher comes to mind as a celebrity who roots for Iowa. Who else?
Tom arnold does not donate to the U of I. He donates some to Iowa Falls CC and a few other things and that's it.Well Tom Arnold is a has been celebrity that did quite often. We need big money CEO / owner / tech guys
Any med school grads invent something worth billions?
Ashton went heavy into tech companies around the time of 2 and a 1/2 Men. Maybe a little before. He started up 1 of his own, I think, and invested heavily into others. I guarantee you, he isn't poor.Kutch didn't snort it up his nose
If we are going to get any big NIL donations I guarantee you they aren't coming from the acting, music industry. The golfer that went to Drake but loves Iowa FB? Donates his money to......you guessed it. DRAKE!This. Ashton Kutcher is probably the richest celebrity we have, but there has to be a lot more money out there with the top-notch medical, law and business schools at Iowa.
Sorry, I think HyVee just signed a deal with ISU. Or could be Caseys but I think it's HyVee.you're right we need Casey's and Hy-Vee to step up!
put a slice of pizza on field for $60M ?
The Moon family donated $10 million to U of I athletics in 2021. They help fund KF's salary, The Will and Renee Moon Excellence Foundation and they helped fund the North End Zone remodel. The Moon family; not sure what they are worth
They own the I-80 Truck Stop & not sure what else
$200 million.Neither one is anywhere close to being multi-billionaires like Cuban and Mellencamp. Not. Even. Close.
900+ billionaires in the U.S.Kutcher has double the money that Mellencamp has if you believe Google.
doesn’t matter we are splitting hairs over $100 or $200 million.
guys like Cuban have billions.
And Todd Wagner. He grew up a huge fan of Hoosier bb....was spotted at games routinely
He lives in Bloomington and is a die hard Hoosier.
Just not sure how wealthy he is...Cuban and Simon are the multi- billionaire donors that really matter.
I knew he was paying all those 3 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I thought it was all Cignetti?????????????????????? Now you tell me it has a lot to do with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
