If Booker makes even 30% of her shots TX may have prevailed, but she ball hogged her way right out of the tourney. It's crazy how much better those 4 teams are than all the rest AND how poorly they all played last night.
Well Geno is definitely off his rocker on this one no doubt. He's seeing imaginary things to boot.
But Dawn Staley shows you who she is every day, believe what your eyes and ears tell you. Neither has fared well when their unbeatable teams inevitably get beat.

If he is going to be all butthurt over a handshake he should probably have shaken hands with the South Carolina players after the game. Comes of as being a hypocrite to me. It's one thing to be pissed at Dawn Staley, It's another to show no respect to the opposing players.

Staley wasn’t happy losing to Iowa but she shook hands and took it like a champ. Geno’s team quit on him last night and he quit on his players. Embarrassing.

Exactly. Iowa vs S Carolina was a physical game and yet Iowa dropped almost 80 on the gamecocks. Of Course CC22 had 40 of those , lolol...
UCLA lost to Texas as well, and barely beat them this time even when Texas couldn't throw it in the ocean from a boat....

High horse much. (So cute though, the "I'll hang up and listen", did you make that one up all on your own)? Texas won the first one and UCLA survived Texas by a few points, with Booker having her worst game in three years in college. Your acting like they're a much better team. There not.
But good enough to be playing for a National Title. So does Texas now get the award for best regular season win? Well, that's something they can hang their hat on, or on horns I guess.
I know very well who's in THE game. I just didn't agree that UCLA is much better then Texas, as I thought you were implying. Isn't really worth arguing about. UCLA will have to play much better against S Carolina to end the SEC is just better narrative....
Yes and no. Texas’s defense is elite and so is UCzlA’s having Betts everywhere to change shots. With both teams being so good on defense it made for an ugly game but UCLA can play multiple styles. And S Carolina and Texas are pretty even. Betts stays out of foul trouble and the rest of the moment isn’t to big for UCLA’s other players they can definitely win. Getting over the hump against Texas I think means a lot.
UCLA wins a basketball game going away. If the refs call a rugby match like they did in the Texas game South Carolina has a chance.
If South Carolina is going to settle for jumpers all game it won't matter how physical the refs let them be on defense
You can be physical without fouling. SC is over the back, reaching around, and slapping arms. Those need to be called.
It's almost impossible to be efficient inside with Betts guarding the key.
Betts is by far the dominant player in college bball. Such a difference maker on the defensive end.
UCLA is terrible against the press
You can tell watching this game how differently the game is played (at the highest level) with and without a Caitlin Clark, due to her gravity.
Aside from Rice, their guards are slow and not all that strong against pressure.

She's a problem but I think they need to force the issue. I'd rather take my chances on the refs bailing them out vs having bad shooters taking long jumpers.
