2 years ago, nearly all of us wanted him off the team. Now he's an integral part of the offense. This year and next are the only guaranteed years left on his massive contract. Pretty wild stuff.
At this point, he's almost underpaid if you look at what a guy like Tucker is getting

See....I was wrong.
Boone can shut Stanton down.
I gotta think it's infuriating the way Boone manages. A guy gets on a great roll and then he sits him so he cools down. Idiotic.
When you're on a roll like Stanton was to start the season you wanna keep rolling and ride the hot streak as far as you can.

9 runs on 6 hits (with only 1 HR). Interesting!
First rough game for the staff, but still a win.
As great has the team has started the season, still not getting much from catcher, 2nd base, shortstop, 3rd base.
3rd base looks incredibly weak.

Jake Bird....LOL

What a bum. The guy sucked in AAA after he got demoted last season.
Nice move, Boone.
Fvcking idiot.

Burned out Bednar by pitching him 3 games in a row.

Doval might be just as bad.

Got three bullpen guys late last year in trades.
Only one of the three has looked any good. Two of them seem useless.
Bullpen needs an upgrade.
Doval had 1/2 decent outings early this year, but the last two have looked like the ones he had after being acquired mast fall.

He reminds me of Gil...you never know what you're getting day to day.

Bird will be in the minors or released before long.

And again, someone, anyone, explain why Grisham is hitting .150 and leading off?

Once I saw ML warming up, I knew the NYY were gonna win.

Unfortunately, Jake Bird is the new Mark Leiter.

Unlike some recent years, Yanks have an abundance of pitching talent at both Majors and Minor League levels. Guys like Bird is they continue to not perform will not be here for long especially once Cole and Rodon come back.

Good move by the manager to insert Rosario in for McMahon at third.
BTW, this guy at shortstop is making me miss Volpe's bat.
Volpe has a better bat, but until he can be even an average SS, defensively, I'll take Cabellaro.
Kinda the same tradeoff as playing McMahon...who can't hit.

McMahon is 2 for 23 so far this season. That's after all of the talk of him "working on his swing".
And when they sit him and his replacement hits two home runs... including the game winner...he should expect to get more than just one game sitting on the bench.
He should just consider himself lucky that some of his Yankees teammates are hitting almost as bad as he is. That way his poor performance with the bat doesn't stand out quite that much.
What did we give up to get him last year ?

McMahon was always an average hitter but he looks totally washed right now. The Yankees got hosed in their desperation to find cheap players to help their playoff run last year. He makes 16 million a season for this year and next. If Lombard comes up this year, he'll be a utility man off the bench I'm guessing, if not a cut candidate next year. His defense is pretty good though.

It's amazing this team is 8-2 given how pathetic the offense is right now.

14 Ks thru 8 innings.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Boone will have Bednar worn out by the ASG.
Boone is such a dumbazz.
