Joke? It’s Temple Football. Aside from being a waste of money, you would need to add at least 2 more zeros to the check if they are serious about getting Temple out of the AAC basement.
I hope you realize that half of people outside of this site would say the same about RU football. And many would even be grads of the school.

As usual you open a thread on the free board and see it filled with stupid comments.

The people saying its a waste of money are jealous because they will never be in a position to do that.

Good for the person donating if they believe in the mission.
Considering it was THEIR money to give for whatever GD purpose THEY wanted

Totally agree - but at least RU is part of the B1G. Non-P4 schools should shut down their football programs unless they are break-even or can demonstrate a clear tangible benefit to the school. Athletic Departments no longer manage the sports of universities - they are sports-based businesses. And almost all of them are failing and bankrupt = surviving largely on donations and subsidies. Even worse, there are no rules and Universities have to basically rebuild their businesses every year with increasing costs thanks to the transfer portal and facility improvements/maintenance.

Jealous? Believe in the mission? You sound ridiculous. It’s about paying a bunch of mediocre football recruits to play football for Temple all of which will bail the second they show any on-field potential. It’s doesn’t even remotely make sense but sure, to each their own. If someone incinerated $500K right in front of you what would you say = that was awesome and totally worth it?! No - you would think the dude was a moron and you could come up with dozens of ways that money would have helped real causes. But if your point is people are free to do whatever they want with their money then yes, you win.

Totally agree with you with your last two sentences. But it’s my fault that people posted stupid comments like the jerkoff above this post? I was just saying good for Temple for getting this donation and that this is the type of donations Rutgers could use.

Whatever.

“Muppet” LOL…Tico Brown the Message Board Clown here is your quote:

“I thought Hopkins was irrelevant because they’re not a Power 4 Program and “all programs that’s not Power 4 should shut down and blah blah blah…”

Are you one of those Goalpost Movers?”

IDK why Hopkins ever entered the discussion we were talking about Temple and low level D1 football schools. But sure whatever works for you pal.
Technically you mentioned Hopkins before I did…

Go **** yourself.
