Great series win against a good team. Good job by the back end to hold the door and keep it within striking distance to give our bats a chance to come thru. McDuffie is nails. Love that guy.
This series felt like Super Regional-level to me. Huge series win against a really good team.
Major shout out to Coach Forbes for the teams he has put on the field the past 3 seasons. Especially with basically a brand new lineup this year. Replacing studs like Honeycutt, Stevenson, Kepley, etc…year after year and still producing top ten teams is special. Scott Forbes is going to break through one of these years. I am confident in that.
The boys fought hard for that win. This squad has that blue collar feel.
I said after Thursday we’d find out a lot the rest of the weekend. And we did. That was a huge series to get to stay on track for postseason baseball at the Bosh.
Yeah, if you give up on this squad before the last out, you’re not paying attention. They could chew nails and spit out tacks.
Only got to start watching today in the 7th… Tommy alluded to something as well just a few posts back. What did BC do? During their big inning?

Some walks led to more runs than they should’ve got there. Baseball really reveals the…let’s say…fickle nature of message board posters lol. Puts the basketball melodrama into perspective.
If you said we got 1/3 of an inning from Seagraves and Matthijs combined today and we won, would have definitely called you a liar.
Felt like that… but a huge part was our self inflicted wounds.
Think grace posted the stats. We gave up 25 free bases (20 walks and 5 HBP) and had 3 wild pitches. They only had 20 hits. Not sure that will ever be replicated in a 3 game series.
I had the whole thing prepared and deleted it. And at the end of the days it’s baseball. Winning 2/3 is great. Go Heels.
Very few gimmies anymore in college baseball. Just look closely at the D1 scoreboard daily and educate yourself on how reality is.
I audibly gasped at the 96. Insane how much power Duff gets out of his frame. Incredible athlete.
Only thing more impressive than our pitching depth is how many of you think you know more about baseball than Scott Forbes 
I was being overreactive in the moment but the Notre Dame, Cal, ECU and Louisville series aren’t shaking out to be all that impressive. We couldn’t have afforded to lose this series this weekend with what lies ahead on the schedule.
Globe and Duff are our best pitchers IMO. Their stuff is different from our other guys and they have the it factor. Love our other guys too, but I can’t get enough of watching those two deal.
This is encouraging to me. If we can win like this against a good team, that’s a positive sign.
Huge to beat a good team with our C Stuff. Extra day of rest before heading to Clemson.

He's been playing a fantastic 3B. He brings MIF range to the corner so he gets to balls that many 3B's don't reach. He has the quick release of a shortstop and he's willing to stand in and take the ball in the chest to knock it down, not panic, then has the hose to still get the runner.
Haha! I’m glad we got to him, but it’s really funny reading this in light of our conversation after yesterdays game.
To call that play simply a 4-1 put out understates it's significance. That play was the defensive play of the game. Paulsen ranged far to his right and the ball still hopped over his head. It looked like it was headed to right field but Gavin never stopped. Backing up Paulsen, he fielded it and threw the ball on the run to McDuffie--he didn't quit on covering 1B-- who caught the ball on the run just in time to reach 1B a step ahead of the runner. If he's safe, BC has runners at the corners and is still alive. Textbook PFP.
It all comes down to never posting anything that you might have to apologize for later.
Pointing out a mistake or a tough outing for a player comes with the territory. Just refrain from personal insults towards the kids.
And perhaps most importantly N-E-V-E-R say the game’s is over before it’s actually over. How many Tar Heel teams have taught us in the past that with the right attitude there is a chance!
And please don’t think I’m preaching to anyone about being a fan. I’m just offering advice from experience. Henry Ford said it best: If you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right!

Great game today. If you didn’t love this game, then you don’t like baseball. Both teams left it all out on the field. Bosh magic for sure. Overall, a really fun day to be at the Bosh with my son and grandson.
The doom and gloom crew here rivals anything I've seen on the hoops board. I'm tempted to quote all of the garbage they posted today, but it would just be a waste of my time, because they will never change.
