Should Geno Apologize?

Well, the headline on ESPN's front page this morning is:

Geno Auriemma and Dawn Staley exchange heated words as South Carolina advances​

and not something like "Geno Loses It" or "South Carolina Ends UConn's 54-Game Win Streak." The coverage is always about the fight and never about who started it or which team won.

His actions tarnished the victory. That reason alone should warrant an apology.

Absolutely he should apologize, win with the class lose with class, his behavior was childish and uncalled for. I would hope our coaches would apologize if they were to act in a similar manner, it was ridiculous.

The school did issue an apology on his behalf.

I believe that USC and Connecticut have a contract for yet another home-and-home which begins next season. I hope that the actions on Friday night do not result in a cancellation of the series.
