Georgia for the moment is better.

They have better athletes for sure. They are better situationally and dine make mistakes. I don’t think it’s “for the moment”

We have had our asses handed to us so far this weekend, screw the scoreboard. A 10 AM game tomorrow will just fire them up more.

Does the committee care more about not losing to bad midweeks or beating good teams? We will likely have very few good wins and very few bad losses

Their bugaboo until this weekend has been starting pitching and for two days their starters have been really good. Hitting and bullpen has been a strength all year, if they‘ve gotten some starting pitching figured out then they are on the shortlist of teams that can win it all.
Their starter last night was 5-0 before last night and tonight's was 3-1 before tonight. How is that a "bugaboo" (whatever that is?

W/L record for starters doesn’t mean a whole lot. Volchko has been good (not great but good) and they’ve had issues finding a second starter beyond him. Vigue didn’t make it out of the first inning in his last start a week ago. And they’ve listed TBA for tomorrow because Sunday starting pitching has been a mess for them.

So GA is 26-6 overall. Their Friday and Saturday starters combined records are 10-1, and last night's guy held us to 5 hits and 3 runs. But those starters aren't necessarily very good this season, it's just smoke and mirrors. OK, think I've got it now.

Starting pitching is not their strength, or it had not been until this weekend.. Their strength is that they have hit a zillion home runs and have a pretty deep pen.

Volchko is a very average Friday night guy. He’s more of a Saturday guy that they’ve had to use as a Friday guy because no one else has been able to give them a ton of length. Last night was the first time in conference play that they’ve had a starter other than Volchko throw 5 innings. I think they’ve had four games in league play where their starters didn’t throw more than 2 innings.

It's not been a typical sample size for us either. We played probably the worst game fundamentally Thursday night and then our lowest run output of the year last night. Dont lose faith.

Gramling struck our guys out 11 times. You should have seen this coming against good pitching. They picked a bad time to go into a slump. OLe Miss could not get timely hits against us; it bit them in the *** and now it is happening to our guys. Just hope they can open the flood gates back up today.

It’s still early; but we need to come alive Saturday and win. Georgia is definitely one of the best teams in the Sec, two close games but no cigar.
Agree, they are a better team right now. Spoke to an older long time bulldog this morning and he said it best. "Not many teams want to play us right now, fewer want to play Georgia....we are really good, they are better".

Their pitchers are pretty good. Damn good college hitters have trouble with changeups and breaking balls.

In conference play coming into Thursday's game they had 19 HRs, Vandy had 18, we had 16. Vast majority of their HRs came against unknown Snow Bird competition

Several in our lineup have got to produce more, we have several players that have to produce more than one hit a game and got to produce with runners on base.
My issue all year has been the number of runners we've stranded. No matter how much we win by, we leave too many on base.

Guys- our team is good. We are playing a comparatively good team without McPherson. Our team is also YOUNG with a lot of transfers. We’re shooting to be at our best in May and June.

We haven’t been at our best this weekend, but games have still been tight with a top five, maybe top three team even.

Time will tell, but this team is good.

I believe BOC will only get better, this is year one and I think he will improve our squad over the coming years. He ain’t no dummy and he is seeing what we need.

For everybody that's blowing UGA right now you might want to consider that we just might not be quite as good as everyone seems to think. Our OOC schedule is **** and our stats were the product of feasting on weak teams. UGA's pitching punked us all weekend and their staff is decent but not great. Maybe, just maybe we had a bad weekend but we've got guys that aren't hitting their weight in league play. Stallman is at .208 and Ace is .204. Not sure what we're paying Reed but I know we're paying WAY too much for the performance we're getting from Reese. If the season ended today he's not an All-American.
