The freshman from Fort Mill, S.C. made the big pitches on Friday night as UNC beat Boston College, 5-2.

I enjoyed the finding of poetry in this year's "Freshman Phenom" switching roles with 2024's Freshman Phenom. who made his first start while still 17 years old.
I also agree with your observation that this pitching staff, if everyone hit full stride at the same time, would be well-nigh unbeatable. However, to me, the reason to have so many quality arms is to make sure that, on any given game day--despite injuries, slumps and schedule glitches--the team has enough so that it can pitch reliably, even in tight spots.
In this regard, as Grace noted, the emergence of Caden Glauber and Jackson Rose is significant. Their emergence also proves (to me)--especially, after the recruiting of Lynch, McDuffie and Seagraves, etc., last year--that Carolina is capable of sustaining pitching excellence almost exclusively from high school.
