I know several people are happy BG is gone. However, I am not sure we will do better in the portal. Sometimes a fix requires hard work and improving what we have.

Garrison contributes nothing to winning, he is one of the worst players to get significant minutes here in the last 20 years.
If Pope can’t get a guy better than BG, then he’s getting fired next year. BG averaged 4.7 points and 4.1 rebounds, you’re acting like he’s Shaq.
Just another troll bg was inconsistent and it seemed he wanted more money than his value. He had some good games but most games he could not box out and was turn over prone.
Every single thing about his shot is wrong and using the glass hasn't yet occurred to him. He shouldn't have been here this past season.

No, I do not think he is a Shaq. I think he has some potential with the right coach. Already, the so called experts are saying he will be one of the most coveted big men in the portal.
If I could get the BG back of the SECT and NCAAT, sure. But we all know hat's not gonna happen. He's too inconsistent.

If Pope returns Moreno, Chandler and Kam Williams, I think that’s more than enough retention. Everyone else can be a case-by-case judgment call. Recent champions usually have had about 3-4 returnees as heavy rotation guys with a mix of newcomers (mostly transfers).

I never said I was upset. I said I am not sure there will be better in the portal. I do think he has potential. As many are bashing him for averaging 4.7 points and 4.1 rebounds a game. Yet no one is pointing out he only average 16 minutes a game. So, if he played 40 minutes a game, that would be on pace for averaging a double double. He will be a senior next year, bigger, stronger and more mature. Good luck finding a back up big man that brings that to the team.
I think he CAN play. We've seen him do SOME good things. My question is about his "Give A Crap". And that is something only he can fix.

BG got 60 chances to show his talents at UK. HE just didn’t exhibit that McAA or Mr Oklahoma skills that got him all the awards. I personally think it was from the neck up.

I think he had a poor attitude most of the season, probably because he could not accept not starting and playing behind a Freshman.
If we cannot be a better team without him on the roster as a Senior, then this program is doomed to mediocrity.

Those are just stats. In today's game how many players are averaging 4 rebounds a game in 16 minutes. I agree he has issues, but i also know we go home earlier in the NCAA tournament without him. He was low hanging fruit in a bad situation.
