College sports in general are increasing viewership in almost every metric
And NIL is keeping the best talent in school longer than before. There’s an argument to be made that college hoops has never been in a better place. Viewership is up. Talent level is up. Quality of play is up.
Seton Hall is falling behind though.
Agreed. The bigger schools love the new setup and the smaller conferences and casual fans aren’t bothered by this craziness. It hurts most of schools in big east and the mid majors. Not enough to impact attendance and ratings.

I've said just keep as many gys. For me, this hopefully can get us to keep clark, Parker, and Dar which for me is a decent base to build on. I know Simpkims entered the portal, but I would try to keep him cause he is legit offense that team needs.
Hines possibly can come back. Frustrated, but for me guy sometimes rides on too much on his "potential" from fans. I want him back and think he can be really good, but while I love his offensive ability and rebounding, he was prone to fouling and for me added to front court inconsistencies at times considering he isn't most athletic and mobile.
We need to try to get players like Gill, Sanogo, or Nzei was for us. I would prefer Hines, but sadly it's a money league now. We have to face this disdavtnage but hope we make use of our money wisely. It's why I think bringing back Clark, Parker, Simpkims, and Dar would be good for me and can possibly work out better than expected if we land out transfers and get some decent recruits as well for the future.

This is no way on Holloway. This is purely about $$$ for a premium position in college hoops. Hines commands $3+ million. SHU either couldn’t or wouldn’t pay that amount. End of story.

Word on the street is the NCAA is expanding to 76 teams to probably accommodate more Power 4 teams. College b-ball is RIP. 
So far 917 players have unofficially declared for the Transfer Portal. The website EvanMiya ranks them all based on projections for next year and has Hines as the #7 available player in the Portal. The highest ranked Big East player in the Portal.

Believe the metrics like Nielsen are calculated differently, which has something to do with numbers being higher. But i also think the easy access to gambling has also been a big contributor too.

Yes but that was with limited playing time. Extrapolate that to playing more minutes per game and the stats are really good.
