Well, I tried to give your thoughts some credence but you crapped all over it instead. So you got the response you deserved and were hoping for.

If you think PSU having so many blue chippers reach all timer status while Iowa’s AA a few times is mostly just luck you’re either ignorant or lying to yourself.

Every recruit, even elite recruits are different. There are more and coming out of HS D1 ready from head to toe. Figuring out which guys those are is level 1, getting them in house is level two, keeping them healthy is level 3, fine tuning level 4.
Some of these guys anyone can pick out of a lineup some are a bit more difficult.

I pay more attention to when Cael goes after Desmond or some other guy outside the top 10 then what Willie or flo or anyone else has in their rankings... where did these guys have starocci ranked at?? What about Caliendo??? Messenbrink??? Yeah, rankings are fun to look at , definitely, but they carry little value

Neither will win an NCAA title next year. You heard it here first. They were on campus in May. They were not ranked there in July. 7 months isn't 2.

Why is it a better example? They definitely would still be contenders for the championship... Jax and Siedel are the perfect example , and you and everyone else knows that Siedel at Okie St still isn't beating Jax and that means...... coaching has very little to do with it

Little value? Common. It’s not like Desmond or Starocci were some Diamond in the rough. Still highly ranked. It’s an imperfect science for sure and it can cut both ways. PSU is good at it though. The majority of coaches? I’d say luck more than anything

PK #6 who was teched in the semi finals by #7 Haines.. He and Vega were the same level recruit. Alex M. was that level. Ben Kueter was that level. Gabe Arnold was #5. Drake was #5. That isn't a true freshman national title winner very often. Vega and Rob were #5 and #7. Identifying talent is huge but nobody saw Vega doing this before the season.

Another comment from the guy who offers little to nothing to the forum... he wouldn't get those recruits dumbass , the another point i made earlier is the draw that Cael and Taylor have for about any recruit they want.. which is the biggest part of coaching , getting the most TALENTED guys.... but yeah, Stanfords staff is elite enough to have a champion , not much to do with the wrestlers talent 🤣🤣🤣 they were elite coaches, but just for the 149 weight class... No Colorado use to have elite coaches for a weight class too... hell CSB was pretty good at coaching 197 last yr, wasnt the fact it was AJ Ferrari, just listen to Spooner it was coaching 🤣🤣🤣 ****** clown

Wait, you asked for recruits at that level but now you’re saying those guys aren’t at that level? Really? How many people considered guys like Vega and Rob freshmen NCAA champs a year ago? Everyone must have just missed the “bigger picture” I guess.

Well duh lol all rankings and seedings are based on some results... and opinions ... I highly doubt coaches are basing much off of recruiting ranking lists lol they have people that go out and actually recruit and watch and evaluate themselves

When the same coaches develop different wrestlers at the same weight class the same way, but there is much different results, that doesn’t mean the coach got suddenly worse or better. Ferrari and Abe Assad had the same college coach their freshman year, who did better and who was a bigger recruit, just as an example. Taylor didn’t do as well his first year with some of the talented left overs from Smith his first year, but it wasn’t because he became a much better coach. His success has come with his hand picked high end portal guys his first year, and his mega talented 1st recruiting class. This doesn’t mean he’s not a solid coach, but what makes him special is what make Carl special. Their ability to bring in and retain the best talent in the country consistently.

In different years. Hakeem Olajuwan and Joe Smith were both #1 overall picks in different NBA drafts. I'm not sure that's a totally relevant argument. Vega was a STUD....I told a Cornell buddy of mine, that I thought Vega was THE most impressive kid at Super 32 after it was over and that Super 32 was loaded with talent. DT obviously saw the same thing since he immediately started the poaching process.

believe what you want b/c at the end of the day it doesn't matter. you're getting the results you're getting, and nothing is changing any time soon.

I didn’t know much about Robideau until I seen him handle Melvin miller pretty easily in freestyle last year. Then I realized Taylor had a real stud on his hands, and why he flipped him.

We 100% agree on Jax. He’s just plain different. I’d have felt the same about Spencer. And Jax is better yet.

It matters a little, like I've said numerous times... so brands where great coaches with Spencer, or Spencer was a great talent?2021 they were great coaches, best coaches in the country, OR they had alot of talent on the team. .... as the entire point of this

No rankings are 100% accurate. Look at college football recruiting rankings, organizations like 247 spend big money analyzing recruits and updating their rankings. There are misses there as well. Rankings show a blend of results and projection based on skill set. There will always be outliers in any ranking.
