Way to early 4A West contenders

I’d say that is a pretty good spot to start. Brevard may be too high at 2. Need to wait and see how the coaching change affects them. The transfer portal is also always in play. But the top end of that Burns, Cramer, Lincolnton, Shelby conference will be a humdinger!

Maiden has a big question mark at QB. They seem to bring a lot back but it will be interesting to see how qb plays.

I believe WI return QB and RB, not sure what else they have.. QB is getting some good looks by colleges.

Not sure any other team from our conference is a 4A contender

Cramer has a question mark at QB too. We return 16-18 starters (several kids play both ways though).

Ironically I was told by some Burns guys at the baseball game last week that they don’t have a definite QB either, but return 16-18 starters.

Should be interesting in the West this year. Will be interesting to see if a QB from another school ends up at a Cramer or Burns this summer and really puts them over the top.

If West Stokes gets the 5 players from forsyth county they should be much better. Maybe win conference but not sure about contending with Burns.

Pisgah has more skill position depth coming through than we’ve had in a while over the next few years. This year will heavily depend on how quick the juniors and some sophomores gel to make it happen on varsity. We were extremely senior heavy last year when it came to skill positions.

West was 5-7 last season and now they getting 5 transfers from for Forsyth Co? and several more from other places is the word? Just odd to see this at a place with limited football tradition outside the 2011 state title run. The money must be flowing in King. Lowman is really good when he has players and kids love playing for him, that's undeniable.

You have to think it's a lot of parents wanting to move out of the Winston area. King is a little more affordable and some of the schools in Winston aren't exactly the best schools. Bigger schools get transfers all the time. Walkertown had at least 6 last year.

We are getting one of the best players coming from 8th grade moving into our district from Gastonia and I am sure it is exactly what you are saying above. Maybe not the affordability part (sadly enough) but the other reason.

I also think Stuart Cramer being a larger 4A school instead of going to one of the smaller 5A and 6A schools in the county plays a big role.

Burns has a kid coming up from the middle school that's gonna be a really really good QB. It's possible they roll with him as a freshman but we'll see. If I had to just guess I'd say Burns will run a heavy version of a wildcat type offense this year with Max Davis & Romelo Wells. Our JV QB from last year Chris Dawkins wasn't bad and very well may factor into the mix as well. But we'll see. QB is our question mark, but Burns definitely has some options.

Cramer will be run heavy as well. We have good talent on the outside but we run the same offense Lloyd ran at Crest so you know he would always prefer to run than pass.

West Iredell Conference with the 4A were very competitive. West Iredell match up vs Newton Conover and Bandys from a year ago could have gone either way, but didn't quiet pull through with the wins. They defeated Fred T Foard and Bunker Hill. Bunker Hill was down last year, but what will they have in 2026? Fred T Foard made a suprising run last year, but what will they have in 2026?.

Foard middle of the pack not bad. Bunker Hill probably bad again. Newton about the same if jv QB plays well. Bandy's will be a question hard to replace swett. Could be bad or could surprise got some athletes.

That is what I'm thinking the names I seen were 2 from Parkland 2 from Walkertown and 1 from Mt Tabor. Lot of new homes in King area.
