Is this the 3rd or 4th game lost by catchers

Neither. It's the 5th team loss. If you want to play this game, factor in the games where a catcher saved us. The team lost. Move on and get the next 2. I swear, some of you have never played a team sport before.

Whether you want to say catcher play cost us the game or not, the fact is we cannot give up three easy runs to a top 5 team like we did last night due to pass balls. I do trust this coaching staff to fix it though.

We lost last night because our pitching sucked, we made errors, and our catchers aren't good. But primarily, it was awful pitching and leaving in Foster to give up a bomb when he couldn't get outs to start with. The guy didn't even cover home on a wild pitch.

I saw that on their first score, it was ridiculous. When the runner broke I thought no way he makes it, but, when the pitcher doesn't go cover the plate it makes it pretty easy to score. That is something that pitchers learn in Little League, not in college as a 20 year old sophomore

We have tried 3 catchers this season, I wonder why? Maybe because none of them have consistently blocked balls from getting past them and allowing runners to score. Is that better?

Granted I was on a flight last night and didn't see all of the game, but from what I followed on my phone, we gave up three runs to passed balls (would have lowered their runs to 7) but we also moved runners into scoring position multiple times on passed balls (potential lowered runs by 1 or 2 more). That would have potentially put them at 5 or 6 runs, which makes it a doable game with our offense. There is plenty of blame to go around, this was one of our worst executed games of the year, and we still lost to #5 by one run.

But they were on because of walks. When you walk double-digit hitters, you're going to lose.

This totally. Overall our worst game of the year when it comes to fundamentals anyway

To be fair, the catcher should have caught it. Wild pitch is a stretch.
