In fact, Benedict acknowledges that the school is against moving its other sports without an invitation from a power conference. The most recent example of such a possibility emerged in 2024, when Big 12 officials and UConn were actively involved in expansion negotiations until the conference paused the talks. And though discussions have not restarted, the league’s commissioner, Brett Yormark, remains bullish on the Huskies and their prospects as an expansion target.

Imagine that. UConn has the most dominant men’s and women’s basketball program, and the are still wasting time chasing college football success. Give it up guys, no one in the northeast is going to be good at college football.
Money, money, money We all chase the money.

Not just a Uconn experience. The only way these schools are going to be able to make up for the growing deficits is to dip into their endowments. That's when the **** will hit the fan.

There’s chasing money. Then there’s sitting at the roulette table praying for a big win while watching your nest egg dwindle. The latter seems to be the UConn experience.
UCONN just got $15 million donation from alumnus.
They have money and can continue doing what they are doing.
UCONN football has had recent success beating ACC champion Duke and Boston College. 1st team All American WR Skyler Bell.
UCONN will eventually make it into a Power4 conference.
If you want to talk $$$ look at Rutgers, they su k at everything and have wasted $500 million dollars. Rutgers has reputation as LOSER at everything while UCONN has much bigger profile and reputation and is known as Major WINNER.
