Just got word @dawgstudent was seen entering the Bulldog Burger in Starkville with Robbie. I hope he is there to tell him to kick rocks. Those flat screens are tempting in this economy.

So, with this being a University message board, will they allow Robbie a podcast to bring credible whining and crying about what somebody wrote on the message board ... or DM'd him .... etc etc ? 😂

I'd guess its going to be "Gene's Page Deuce". But it's a pay site for heavens sake, how can you try and allow only certain things to be said and negative ones to not be when your customers PAY MONEY TO POST ON IT? But I bet, you criticize, you get banned..............

Wish I could double like this.....not even remotely interested in this....my teenage early 20s kids are enough why do I want to hear from more spoiled arse kids****

I listened to a pod cast this weekend. Let me preface by saying, Charlie Winfield is doing "yoeman's work."

However this statements really made me chuckle at how dirty all the pay for play is....

"Collectives have no problem collecting money. Collectives have a problem spending money."

I know of a few other organizations that have that issue.

I was wondering also. Young kids may want some autographs but do older adults really want to hang out w/ teenagers and be "star struck"?
Back in the early days of Twitter, I followed Dee Bost.
Ugh, that was a mistake. All it did was made me want to cheer for him less, and he didnt really say anything bad...it was all just dumb and unintelligible because he was a young adult.

After it's been out a few days - we aren't going to make or break the athletic program with these subscriptions to State 1878. The biggest thing is it's a way around to raise $$ and pay the players for "appearances". This essentially replaces the Bulldog Initiative under a different name with some fan perks that come along with it. I'm guessing Charlie and team still go after the bigger $$ people that they were pursuing under the Bulldog Initiative.

Can I have my money go toward watching basketabll players try to win games on the court?

Wonder if the 1878 message board is as glitchy as a recipe website.

Whatever- I am holding out until they bring Michael Wardlaw on as a writer!**

It's just a way to legally launder NIL money to the athletes. That's all it really is.

No one really wants to jump on a zoom call with an athlete. But the university has to show the clearinghouse that said athlete has done something (outside of tackling) to "earn" their NIL contract. The whole thing is designed to check the box of "it's not pay to play, they are doing car washes, AMAs, and puppet shows."

I don't see the message board being a real thing. The moderation will likely make Jean blush. The university might move some merch and make enough to pay the people to run it, all while having a mechanism to process NIL activities.

Yes you can!

Like I've done in the past - I don't adjust in totality what I give to State. I just change the pieces of the pie.
I for one plan to pay for:

1) ESPN (includes non SEC ESPN+ games)
2) Tickets and parking to games
3) Payments to pay players to try

Boom. This guy gets it.

Because of the new clearing house, collectives can't just hand over money. This is an effort to make the money look legit.

I have an idea..... have those zoom calls immediately after games, those could be sooo interesting and would generate many many listeners.
