When you look more closely at UGA's gaudy HR numbers, an interesting fact emerges. They seem to have built that massive number on non-con cupcakes. While still #1 in HR for conference games they are much more comparable to the rest of the league when you look at SEC stats only.

Total HR: #1 UGA 87, #2 Vandy 63, #5 State 47

Conference only: #1 UGA 19, #2 Vandy 18, #3 State 16

In 9 SEC games they hit 1,2,2,6,2,2,1,2,0
In SEC games we hit 1,1,0,2,1,4,0,3,4

Of that 19 they hit 6 in one game and then no more than 2 in any other.
We hit 4 in 2 games and 3 in another.

Point being they can definitely ride it out of the yard but that while way ahead of everyone in total HR they kind to come back to the pack in conference games.

Ole Miss had 2 HR hitters with over 10 each. We pitched pretty well against them.

I won't be even a little surprised if we hit more than they do this weekend.

And I fully respect their hitting, but we are really rounding into form.

How huge would a sweep be this weekend?!?!
I’m not conceding a loss but winning the series at 2-1 would still be a nice weekend win over a Top 5 opponent.
Tonight is key to getting the sweep.
A series win would solidify us a Top 4 team in all polls unless GT or TX or the Bruins slip up this weekend and we move up another spot or two.
