Adolph Rupp 1958 (I’m old). I remember players like Vernon Hatton, Larry Stamper, etc. Those days are long past and college ball today is a joke thanks to lawyers and the mighty dollar.

Adolph. He coached for 42 years and won 4 NCAAs in an eleven year period. 1948-1958. I didn't witness a championship until 1978 with Joe B., but I do remember seeing Rupps Runts when I was a kid.

Hall back in the mid 70’s, when I was 10 I can remember having so much anxiety that I’d go into another room when we were down in a big game and peek around the corner to keep up with the score. I’m okay now, psych doc is really cool.

That happened my senior year of high school too. The 2001-2002 team. They had a big guy we couldn't stop.

I was at that game. Lifelong UK fan who grew up close to Lexington but was a WKU student at the time. (My mom wanted me to go to UK and live at home, but I had to get out of that house with all those damn rules, so I chose WKU because it was closeish to home but not so close there would be unannounced parental drop-ins. Lol)

I went to the game in a UK hoodie and WKU hat. Cats couldn’t stop Chris Marcus and all the preseason hype for that team died that night.

That team would later be known as Team Turmoil.

Vaguely remember late Rupp.

Remember listening to overtime win vs Austin Peay in 73.

Joe B was the first on a consistent basis.

Really followed in 75 with Jimmy Dan Connor, Flynn, Grevey and Guyette.
Goose, Robey, and Phillips were freshman.
Beat IU in the semifinals but lost to UCLA in Wooden’s last game.

Live in Tennessee. Taught with a guy from Cincinnati. He had played against Grevey in high school. He said Grevey was the best high school player he had ever seen.
