Seems low. But we will be one of the few real tests they have faced since they last played us. Though they did handle Notre Dame with ease. Of course this isn't the Notre Dame of 4 years ago, but still. We struggled early before slamming the door on TCU.
Good. That and last years azz whooping should be plenty motivation
Not so fast. I don't think people realize the difference Paige Bueckers made on that team. It allowed Azzi Fudd to coast and constantly have wide open shots. I have seen several occasions this year where UConn struggled to score and that has been against competition that has not been the best. I think the spread is about right and we stand a chance to win if our guards shoot it like they did against Oklahoma.
I'm hoping we can keep it close going into the fourth quarter. At that point, perhaps the fact that we're more battle-tested will become an advantage.
Sounds about right, Until Dawn beats UCONN she is currently 5-11 agianst them, they will favor UCONN..
3 point shooting will be key to open up the inside game!
One thing is for sure when it comes to this game. We can’t come out like we did against TCU or Texas in the SEC championship game.
Yes I would consider UConn a solid favorite - hope I`m wrong but we would have to have an exceptional game and they would have to be off some for us to win. With our defense anything is possible, though, as long as we stay out of foul trouble.
Shoot the 3, lock down D, make our chip shots and putbacks, MaKeer could be the key factor!

To be fair, a lot of those losses were before the Freshies arrived and as we were building as a National Power. I think Dawn is like 5-3 since 2020.

I would bet on us and Texas to win it all before UCONN, and hope the UCONN did not play anyone naritive develops, and the SEC wins out, thats tempting, at those odds, but Id probably lose, as UCLA wins it all

We need to drive through and attempt shots up through their pressure. They are sticky on defense, and I think get lots of grace from the zebras. OKOT needs to drive up through pressure and get the foul call. She shy's away. One of the few downsides to her game. Agreed- we need to hit a few contested 3's early to pull defenders out and let Joyce roam the lane. WE will also need to make a lot of 10 footers ala Kits. And more Meeker elastic arms and aggressive offense.

I was just saying that UConn hasn't been dominating us like that this decade. It sounds like you are rooting against us for whatever reason. Okay, Geno got us last year, but one year is not a trend. Also, UConn's is missing a colossal piece that had to draw the attention of our best defender. Let's see how Azzi Fudd does with either Raven Johnson or Agot Makeer guarding her the whole game. She can't just stand in the corner and wait for open jump shots this year. I think the key to the whole game is the Sarah Strong vs Joyce Edwards matchup. Strong is better and mainly due to her consistency. Can Edwards raise her level of play to compete with Strong. Otherwise, UConn roster is pretty regular. The Freshman, Quinones, is going to be elite and she had big games in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, but UConn really needs her to be that 3rd scorer on Friday night. I dive deep into this. Have been hate watching UConn all year looking for weaknesses and I feel good. Can't wait for our girls to play them.
Different teams this year. Everyone is basing what UConn does on last year's rep. It's like us blindly believing we were going to win the National Championship last year missing Cardoso. I think people betting this game are crazy because the educated WBB fan doesn't really know how good UConn is this year. They haven't been tested this year and the best team they played, Michigan, just got blitzed by Texas. UConn hasn't played ranked teams every other game like us.

It appears that Geno does his best to schedule quality OOC opponents as best he can.
It's no shade on Geno. He scheduled USC thinking JuJu Watkins would be healthy. Also with Notre Dame, how could he have known that Olivia Miles would transfer to TCU. It is just how the schedule works sometimes. It's not UConn's fault, but they have not played a challenging schedule this year. They may be great and beat us like a drum Friday night, but you can't really gauge that when they are playing Marquette and Villanova.
Ok, bottom line.. UCONN hasn’t been beat all year!! SC can’t say that. I say SC wins in a nail biter, but wouldn’t bet my house either way!!

What are you talking about? We are 3rd in the country in Team FG% at 50.8%. We are 4th in the country in 3 Point % at 37.7%. Now UConn is 1st and 2nd in the country in those stats, respectively. However, it was done against inferior competition. I don't see much of a difference in 52% from the field and 51% from the field or 39% from 3 and 38% from 3. With regard to your mistakes take, we turn the ball over 12.8 times a game. UConn turns it over 12.7 times a game. Boy, we get a lot of casual takes about our ballclub.
