Tyson Southern Style Chicken Breast Tenderloins (If you've never had these give them a try. They are really good.) I put buffalo sauce, Tabasco and honey mustard sauce on mine. Boiled red mini potatoes with butter, steamed broccoli florets with vinegar, corn in butter sauce, Mary B's biscuits thins with butter, unsweetened iced tea, biscuit dipped molasses. Nap time!

Le Sueur peas are the best. Either eaten alone or added to soups, pasta salad, etc.
Love them as a side with country style steak and mashed potatoes.

Man those peas make me gag! lol I have 5 siblings and our mother fed us these and we all hated them. To this day I can't stand to seven see the can. I can only eat green peas mixed in food and only then in small quantities, never by themselves. One of the few vegetables I can't stand. Tomatoes being the other.

Prayers for you, 2forheels. I hope things go well.

Last night the missus and I went to the local Ribeyes as she wants to graze at the salad bar. I had a ribeye steak sandwich and fries. It was a fair to middlin’ steak sandwich.

2for,
Please let us know how you're doing when you feel like it.
I'll try to make it short.

I have chronic digestive issues. Have for over 40 years now. Bad liver, pancreas, diverticulitis, etc. It's in my family genes. Every now and then the pancreatitis fires up and I get very sick. Been in intensive care several times, the last was 2018 with ileus. I started throwing up yesterday just out of the blue. Had been to the doctor earlier for something else and felt fine, and then 4 hours later it hit me instantly. Very similar to the ileus attack I had. I'm 70 years old and I don't take chances now. I headed to the ER. After all the labs, CT, EKG, etc. I was all clear so it's probably a severe stomach virus or digestive irritation. That's the good news. The bad new is I am so nauseated I can't eat. You know how I like to eat. lol The morphine they gave me and the Zofran helped relieve pain and nausea for a few hours. On a side note I have been itching all over for a few weeks and doctors can't figure it out. I'm on prednisone now and antihistamines and they are not working. Driving me crazy.

So after not eating for 30 hours I had some chicken and rice soup (which I can't stand even when I'm well) saltines, a diet 7-UP and 5 vanilla wafers. So I won't be posting any food I guess until I can eat normal, and hold what I eat down, which will be a week or so. Or maybe I will post the bland food. lol But I will be reading about everyone's meals.

I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. I turned 71 in January myself. I also have some health issues that didn't come up until i got older. He'll, I didn't even have a GP until I turned 50.
Since then, I now have a afib (of which i have stayed in rhythm for over a year now), and I have polycythemia for which I have to have a phlebotomy done every 2-3 months. I also fell off of a ladder a couple years ago and broke my pelvis and had to have surgery and screws put in to hold it in place while it healed.
So I understand your issues and I'm sending best wishes your way. Hopefully, you'll be back in a good place very soon. I look forward to your return to the dinner table.
My best to you my friend.

Today is Easter and we're having the family over.
We'll have ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac and cheese, peas, collard greens, rolls and a tray of pickles, pickled okra, stuffed celery with pimento cheese and pickled beets. Dessert will be responsible velvet and chocolate cakes. (I wanted green beans but I cook them a long time and my wife didn't want to smell up the house.)

I'm going to try to ease back into it tonight. Plain, no spicy, rotisserie chicken, plain white rice, no seasoned snap beans, Diet 7-Up, and a small piece of peanut butter chocolate homemade Easter egg.
