LOL, THIS is precisely what you can expect when the primary (sole?) criterion for appointing a Cabinet member is his or her unwavering loyalty. Pam Bondi demonstrated her incompetence and lack of good judgment repeatedly during her tenure as AG, so much so that Cheeto has apparently decided to give her the hook. I ask you; who brings a "burn book" to a Congressional oversight hearing? And spends the bulk of her time reading from it rather than answering questions put to her by Oversight Committee members?

Pam Bondi now shares the fate of other illustrious people like Meatloaf and Gary Busey. Buh bye, Pam. God speed ...

It’s a tale as old as time with Trump administrations. A bunch of incompetent loyal dorks that only have their position to serve Trump. The minute their incompetence is exposed to the point where it makes Trump look bad (or at least bad enough to where he doesn’t like it) he cuts them.

Still blows my mind that anyone would hitch themselves to the Trump bus and think that it will turn out well for them in any fashion. It doesn’t. It never will.

Trump is the biggest failure to ever exist in the US, not just amongst past presidents.

Good riddance. Totally incompetent. Trump's weakness is that he has no loyalty to good lawyers so he ends up with incompetents like her. Her solicitor general did a horrible job during oral argument yesterday.

THE DOW IS OVER $50,000 DOLLARS!

Interesting. They say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, would love to see her give an interview where she admits that trump directed her to bury the epstein files.

Plus it's a **** argument, so that doesn't help. Can't go changing the Constitution by Executive Order. That's a no, no.

So, this woman destroys any and all credibility she had by shilling for Trump, in order to run cover for his involvement with Epstein and pedophilia ... and her thanks is, she gets sh!!t-canned. And you know that Trump will just throw her away, now that she's useless to him. He's not going to reward her for taking that bullet for him ... he's going to demonize her, if it means it takes heat off of himself.

Memo to MAGA people: you can do everything he asks, you can suppress the Epstein files you can screech and scream at the Congress you can bring cases to the Supreme Court that are nonsensical, and you can prosecute people who do not deserve to be prosecuted. Anything that the guy wants, and he will still steamroll you.

Apparently, the arguments he made were not very good. In particular, focusing on tourist birthing and not even knowing how many of those there are. (Before whacking this guy is very hard which I am tempted to do, I do want to read or listen to his arguments but from what I've seen I am very unimpressed) I have read the Wong Kim case and it is very poorly reasoned being based on the common law idea that a person is owned by the land that he is born on. Totally antiquated basis which in turn is premised on serfdom. The most respected judge on that court, Justice Harlan dissented. I used to be neutral on this case, but after reading the vert poorly reasoned supreme Court case, I think there is a very strong argument it should be overturned. Why should American law be based on the law of serfdom?

I believe Cheeto is getting tired of being potus and has shifted to - He did his part and broke all of the toys, it is all obama and biden's fault, now it is up to someone else to fix it. He is probably focusing on building a trump theme park for his presidential library featuring gold statues of himself with a special collection of his Sharpie drawings and memorabilia gold tennis shoes, trump bibles, etc etc etc

I believe Trump is moving hard and fast to put out a coin with his likeness, never been done for a sitting president, build himself a Trump statue/memorial, never been done by a living president and put his name on our currency, never been done by any president... .because he wants to force a legacy of himself on everyone, because he values himself and his image more than anything.
He'd walk over his dying mother to get attention.

Ways for it to be changed, people just don't like the process.

This case is nearly as bad as plessy versus Ferguson or the decision allowing the criminalization of homosexual acts. Both were overriuled
The clearly incorrect Wong decision should be overruled. As you say there are other ways of doing it but the original decision is egregiously wrong and should be overruled.

Can't feel too sorry for Ol' Pam. Her time as a MAGA grifter greatly increased her net worth. And that of her brother.

Estimates of Bondi’s net worth vary, but it’s likely to be between $5 million and $18 million, depending on market conditions and how her stock holdings are valued.

According to Forbes, Bondi reported a net worth of roughly $1.5 million when she left office as Florida attorney general in 2019. Within six years, that figure had grown several times over.

The jump was driven by lobbying and consulting income, particularly with Ballard Partners and the America First Policy Institute, as well as equity compensation tied to Trump Media, including Truth Social stock received through consulting arrangements.

Do we really want to talk about embracing fraud?

Trump needs to check the log in his own eye first.

Documented Foreign Contributions & Legal Actions

  • Barry Zekelman : A Canadian steel billionaire was fined $975,000 by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) in 2022 for illegally funneling $1.75 million to the pro-Trump Super PAC America First Action in 2018.

  • Russian Straw Donor Scheme: Jesse Benton , a Republican operative, was convicted in 2022 for acting as a straw donor to funnel $25,000 from a Russian businessman to Trump's 2016 campaign.
  • Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman : These Soviet-born U.S. citizens were convicted in a scheme that funneled $325,000 to a pro-Trump Super PAC during the 2020 cycle

  • Foreign Lobbyists: Reports from OpenSecrets indicate that Trump’s 2020 reelection effort received approximately $80,000 directly from registered foreign agents and another $3.9 million in bundled donations through them.

Questionable Overseas Donations

Recent analysis of campaign finance disclosures highlights ongoing concerns regarding the vetting of small-dollar donations:
  • Unverified Addresses: The Associated Press reported that Trump's committees received over 1,000 contributions from donors living abroad who omitted critical identifying details such as their full name or country.
  • Anonymous Donors: At least 90 donations were listed as "anonymous" or "name not provided" from individuals residing overseas.
  • Verification Gap: Out of more than 200 donors living abroad, only two had their U.S. citizenship listed as "verified" in certain campaign finance reports.
    The Times of India +4

Related Investigations
  • Egyptian Government Probe: Federal authorities investigated whether a $10 million cash withdrawal from the National Bank of Egypt just before the 2016 election was linked to a donation Trump made to his own campaign. The investigation ended without charges due to a lack of definitive proof.
  • Foreign Government Payments: While not campaign donations, various reports indicate that foreign governments paid at least $7.8 million to Trump-owned businesses (such as hotels) during his presidency, which critics argue acted as a form of "pay-to-play" influence.
