An Iowa thread on intermat is claiming dan dennis is no longer coach of hwc, since september, but i have not seen any evidence to substantiate those claims. Who would be running it currently if true, and why no mention here?

Dan was with the team at home duals and taking people on tours prior to at least a couple of home BIG duals.

If you do a search on "Dan Dennis no longer with HWC", it will link you to an undated article from the HWC about Dennis leaving in the fall. Maybe that was what caused the confusion. Its a pretty generic article/interview, so I guess someone could have misinterpreted it. The fact that it was written by Randy Novak dates it and should have probably clued people in that this is from when he left as a wrestler, not as a coach. But....

Could also be because Sorensen has been the coach with the HWC guys at the ranking series tournaments lately.

Speaking of... What movies have you worked on lately???
Unfortunately none. I did HBOs Doom Patrol S4 and that was the last set I've been on. That's almost 2.5 years ago...

Following the IATSE and SAG strikes (now IATSE and teamsters currently in negotiations), plus the streaming bubble pop, the AMPTP have really stuck it the USA film machine. Sadly, most productions are going overseas where labor is significantly cheaper. It's a big "F-You" to all of us.

Things have picked up slightly over the past 6 months or so, but there's simply not enough work to employ the massive local labor force. I'm afraid it'll never fully rebound.

That's a lot to say I'm currently looking for new meaningful employment! I was wanting to transition out, but not forced out, not like this.

I'm close to 40 and eyeing a career pivot. It's a bit overwhelming, but at least I have the cesspool to look forward to everyday!

Dude. Sorry to hear that.

I heard he declined. How is that lying?
So you were talking to a pal who said he was in a bar last night and overheard a couple guys who knew some other guy who said he was sure that Metcalf declined the offer? Do I have that right?

In any case, it 100% did not happen.

Ok, what is next.......but when you post it, let us know how you heard it (without names) like the above scenario

Now we're in my realm of semantics parsing! What didn't happen? The offer or the declination?
