Will be the 19th teenager in modern MLB history. He turns 20 April 24.
Two prep guys playing for the pirates. Interesting but other than that I could care less. Dude signed with LSU.
I think the Pirates saved a lot of money by starting him out in triple A at the start of the season. Otherwise he'd have been on the opening day roster.
Here’s a little side story. His dad is the Belhaven softball coach. They are a top 15 team. They had a doubleheader against a top 10 team that will be huge in determining who will win the conference and host a super regional.
obviously he had to be at his sons debut but his team just pulled off the sweep to take a three game lead in the conference standings and a 4-0 record against the second and third place team.

I seem to remember an 18-year old pitcher with the Cardinals way back in the '50s named Von McDaniel. His brother Lindy was also a pitcher for St Louis.
Good for him. I remember a lot of people getting pissed Ryan Gridley missed an SEC game for his sister’s wedding. Some things you can’t miss, and this is one of them.
