Please not. Iowa can excel with shooting, rebounding, defense and athletes. Caitlin was a focal point, but made every other player better. That is not the case with Audi. For goodness sakes you have a potential All American and a very nice young backup already. Layla would not have agreed to stay if Audi was in the mix for Iowa.

It will be fascinating where she ends up and if she ends up going to a good team, the offensive philosophy changes immediately.

She's going to be the focal point because of her skill set, or lack thereof.

No team that has a big scoring star will jeopardize pissing off that player(s).

What big $$$ school had a craptastic season?

Miami/Baylor/Maryland?
It's a one year rental
Outside guesses...Tennessee/Minnesota.

Umm . . . I would rather try to work with Hays.

Did you listen to Pollard today LOL - talking about their team where they have only a couple players that are committed to coming back - says its the system fault, saying a team in the Big 12 who was ahead of them in the standings down to 2 players, and another team in the Midwest who hosted games in the tournament that is likely down to 6. He couldn't bring himself to say Hawkeyes LOL - (fyi I am pretty sure its 5 unless McCabe gets a 6th year) - We have 5 plus MW is what I currently have down. Teegan and Rodriguez will be in the portal.

Pollard likely doesn't have the funds to pay off Fennelly's longevity buyout of $700k, plus hiring a new HC.
So, he's gonna blame the system realizing next season will be a disaster, plus seeing a probable huge decline in season tix sales.

Tough spot, but funny as hell if you hate ISU as much as I do.

Wow, even thoughtISU has lost a bunch of players, I really didn't think that Crooks would go too. Wow. Good luck to her, but I think it would be a real mistake to bring her here, if that is even what she wants to do.
Ya where’s the person who said everyone is leaving bc of Crooks?? Turns out it’s a systemic issue at ISU.

So with financial resources - you are thinking Iowa will be fine now with the portal? Thats what I get from this statement - if you have resources there are unlimited players to pick from it seems.

Damn. Imagine not being able to buy out $700k.

Definitely sounds like there are funding issues in Ames.

Which makes me think a year from now, Pollard won't be able to afford anyone but a current mid major hire.

Fennelly likely doesn't need the $$$, but I think he's more worried keeping Billy Jr. and Billy's wife on the payroll for one more season.
Or BF is just pissed that Pollard wouldn't appoint Jr. as the heir apparant?

Ah Dick, I am just trying to write as many posts as a I can to achieve Heisman status like you. All that noledge you have, wisdom, insight. Can you be my mentor? After all, we might miss out on Audi. Please, call Jan now.
I'm sorry that I didn't bow down and agree with your Clark comment. Had I known it would turn you into a name calling baby I would have just ignored it altogether.

NIL, what a freaking joke to what it's done to college and university athletic programs. I hate it that players have left Iowa and I hate it that players have left ISU and any other places. FB teams bringing in 50 transfers and BB teams bringing in multiple players every year, pathetic.
I have shared this thought a couple of times previously...but here it is again. :) This whole NIL, fluid roster, transfer, etc, has reduced the high level D1 sports to little more than "shirts and skins" pickup games...and no one really pays to see those.
