Mutual interest here. I’d expect a visit soon.
The MAAC freshman and POY from Merrimack. Can’t shoot but can do everything else.

I like him but we need shooters especially since we already have someone almost identical to him with Clark (assuming he stays). We need a backup pg who can shoot and guards and wings who have three point range.

Then again, his name is Kennedy we may have to take him. If only his first name were John. All the micks named their kids that after the guy got killed. I loved that man. you were gone a long time, how many White Castles did you have?

Sienna didn’t guard him on the 3 point line and dared him to shoot. Still a good basketball player. Always depends on the price and who you’re surrounding them with

6th in the country in FTA this year and he hits at an 81%! Sign me up.

Would be pretty crazy not to take him because 32.5% from 3 isn't good enough. We need shooters too, but he's not the only guy we would be adding.
WE need a SHOOTER way before him and have to try to sign Hynes Then worry about filling out our roster.

Before him, after him, I don't really care... yes, we need guys who can shoot. We're not really in a position to pass up a good player because we're waiting for something better though.

If we fill our roster with guys that are 6-2 and can't shoot, I'll be disappointed but realistically I'd take him over a few on the roster currently.

Need to spend our money wisely. Priorities first .Resign Hynes and also Clark if possible, then a shooter .

Highlights were all him driving to the basket, saw him make one made jump in the highlights. Looks like a nice add on player but NOT a priority. As I have said many times in other posts. We need shooters. Curious about who St. Johns brings in . I would bet one will be a shooter for sure .

If we steal Merrimack's best players two years in a row, isn't that going to be a declaration of war, and is there a concern crazy Joe may put out a hit on one of ours?

Most guys who can make 3 pointers seem to also be pretty good at free throws. That being said I would prioritize 3-point proficiency.

It is no longer stealing. The players are the ones making the decisions for monetary rewards. They are actually stealing from the university they are going too since they are being overly compensated in today's market.

1 major knock on budd. With his speed he should be blowimg by his defender. However since he cant shoot no need to be jumpy on defense so they back up just enough to where his speed cant hurt them. Whens the last time we saw budd blow by his defender and finish? To compensate hes gotta stop, spin, fade away jumper or hopefully knock down a floater.

As a roster spot. How many do we have? 6?

All I am saying is that we have a lot of scholarships available and we're going to likely have a few players leave, and we shouldn't pass up on a good player because we might get a better one.

As far as specific players, I'm not very high on Felton, Williams, Mbaye.
Also, It depends on NIL negotiations. Would I take Simpkins over Kennedy? Yes but there if the price difference between the two was huge, then probably not.

He wanted to blow by his defender. But he compromised. He hit a midrange fadeaway instead.

His game is far too similar to Budd's to start them both in the same backcourt.

The biggest difference between the 2 is that Budd has a very good midrange jumpshot while Kennedy has no midrange game at all but is better at scoring in the paint. 83% of his shot attempts come from the paint.

His best attribute is his ability to attack the basket and his shiftiness in the paint. He's very good at keeping his dribble alive and playing off of 2 feet in the paint where he uses his pivot foot and length well to find ways to get his shot off and draw fouls.

Outside of the paint, he's not a good player. He has no pull-up midrange jumper and like Budd is not a comfortable 3-point shooter unless left completely alone.

I think he could become a solid BE player but not a good match if we bring Budd and Hines back.
