If Trent Noah decides to leave, would we be interested in Jake Feldhaus ?

Just what we need, another fan unable to understand that even UK isn't going to get elite players to be the 11th-12th-13th man on the bench.
Who said elite players as a 11th, 12th, or 13th man? What the hell? There's a middle ground between John Wall and Jake Feldhaus. Davion Mintz types.

You guys keep talking like it’s the old era. Guys aren’t gonna come here anymore to just sit the bench for four years.

Again, Fekdhaus’ kid is going to Belmont. He will contribute there.
Again, Feldhaus has asked Belmont for his release, so no, he's probably not going to Belmont. Maybe he doesn't go to UK to sit the bench for 1-4 years and goes to WKU or some other place, but maybe he does.

Add a direction to the state name on the jersey - Eastern, Northern, or maybe Western Kentucky- and you are being more realistic. Replacing Trent Noah with a poor man's Trent Noah, especially the son of a program legend as one of the Unforgettables, is probably just asking for headaches.
Feldhaus at least has the size to compete, Noah is an undersized stretch 4 who can't compete at this level. Feldhaus could someday if he developed. He would have to be okay with no playing time next year and most likely minimal year 2, if he develops he could contribute off the bench year 3 and 4 possibly. Noah is all but gone but Feldhaus would be a practice player if he comes at best year one.

Watched him play 4 times in person this year. Was amazed that he was going to Bellmont. Was doing some crazy dunks for his size in warmups. 2 of the games he played a little reserved and was getting his team more involved. The other 2 games he did what he wanted to do. The tough part is I don't think he is top D1 material but could be wrong. More amazing is his golf game. Word is he's a scratch golfer....

Not sure why we would push noah out for this scenario. We can have 15 guys. Just keep them both.

Noah can absolutely be a situational sub next year if Pope can get the offense back on track. We cant be using Noah like we did early this season by expecting him to get his own.

uh, no he is not lol. People just say stuff all the time without having FACTS. He is NOT going to Belmont unless something changed in the last 2 hours.

Belmont's coach left for Kansas State. I'm pretty sure that's the only reason he decommitted. I don't think it has anything to do with UK reaching out.

Yes, but you really need 3 tiers of players, you need the elite (Wall) or very good (Dillingham) players to take those first 4-6 spots, then you need good players (Mintz & Mitchell) to take the next 3-5 spots, and finally you want some guys who you hope might develop in a couple years and move into that "good player group" but aren't there right now (Noah, Theiro as a FR, Willis, Hawkins) to take the last 1-3 spots.

I love our history, but I love creating history even better.

It seems some of our fans just want to relive our past even though very few legacy recruits are at the level UK should strive for (with Reed Sheppard as an exception).

If you want the past, just put on some acid-washed jeans and a baggy t-shirt and rewatch the 1996 season. It's probably more enjoyable (even in repeat) than what modern Kentucky basketball has become.
