1) 1979 Chevy Caprice Classic with a police package engine and transmission. I bought it from my great uncle who was county police chief. He had ordered it "special". It was a beast and would cruise at 120 mph like champ.
2) 1990 Toyota Celica GT Convertible - perfect for living at the beach.
3) 2014 Audi Q5 2.0T - had a fatal piston ring flaw that could cause catastrophic engine failure. It did.

1. 1988 Ford Probe bought it new when I finished college, kept it for 7-8 years & 150K miles - solid vehicle
2. 2008 Toyota ForeRunner - bought it new & still driving it today with 325K miles on it. Brake pads are the most expensive repair to date. 2nd favorite 2008 Explorer - drove it for 8 years & 150K plus miles with zero issues
3. My parents had a 1980 Pontiac Booneville diesel. Let's just say GM had not perfected that diesel engine. It might not have helped that we also fueled it with that red-dye diesel in the tank at the farm.

1. Toyota truck
2. Ford Bronco. White with blood red leather interior. OJ style.
3. Same as #1. Had transmission issues. Probably my fault though. As a teenager I was hard on that vehicle.

1. 1987 Jeep Comanche
2. 1999 Toyota Tacoma - first vehicle that I bought as an "adult" and drove it to close to 300k miles
3. 1999 Jeep Cherokee - had this in college, and in general was just a POS

1. First - '68 Mustang - beautifully restored but had no AC, power steering, or power breaks. I installed AC pretty quickly.

2. Favorite - Probably that one, or more recently a Volvo S90. Just a car that worked really well.

3. Worst - 2002 Land Rover Discovery - the most beautiful piece of junk one could ever own

1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24. 5 speed. One of about 20 at my high school. Every color of that car was represented.

1991 GMC Syclone. Zero to 60 in HOLY ****! And a very utilitarian payload capacity of about 500 lbs total. Selling that was the biggest mistake I ever made.

1994 Nissan 300zx. Probably still one of the hardest vehicles to work on that wasn't made in Germany. And it loved the service bay as much as the road. If you have one of these and something isn't right with it. It's the fuel injectors. I don't even need to know what it's doing. It's the injectors.

1. 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. Great car, would have lasted forever.
2. 1997 Ford Explorer XLT 5.0. I would buy another if I could find one with low mileage.
3. 2002 Ford Explorer XLT. The #1 worst vehicle on www.carcomplaints.com. Had the transmission rebuilt twice in two years, the intake manifold replaced twice, just a horrible horrible vehicle.

1. GM A-Body muscle car.
2. 1969 Corvette Convertible
3. 2003 Range Rover.

I get pissed just thinking about that damn Range Rover letting me down multiple times and leaving my @$$ stranded. Had a mechanic comment to me, "You will always know when it's time to change the oil in that thing [the Range Rover]. When it stops leaking."

First-a 1967 VW Beetle (used), great car for college.

Best-2022 GMC Canyon AT4 (still have it) Quick, good ride, V-6, good mileage for a truck, no rattles, can park it is a tight parking space.

Worst-1972 Maroon Triumph Spitfire (used) stayed ‘broke down’.

1.)1992 Mazda Protege (now the Mazda 3) I'm a little over 6'4" and my head stuck out the moon roof if my seat wasn't laid back... but I had 2 12" in the back and all the black boys on my basketball and football team made me feel very accepted because of that...
2.) 1985 Toyota Landcruiser when I lived in Coloraod & a 1999 Two Door Tahoe in AK. Cruiser was a beast and never once gave me any trouble and I'm going to resotre one some day.... but damn that tahoe was fun to drive in the bush of Alaska.

1. 1959 VW bug (used) in 1967. Fun car in high school. Fifty cents worth of gas would run me nearly all week.

2. 2023 Tesla Model S Plaid (new) - daily driver right now. Literally quicker than anything else on the road that cost less than $1.5MM. Plus it drives itself.

3. 1974 Chevrolet Vega GT (new) - bought during the gas crisis of the 70’s. Rusted and fell apart mechanically.

1. early 2000's Chevy Avalanche with the 5.3 V8 pre AFM
2. probably the avalanche. It was such a tank. I towed, hauled and offroaded with that truck regularly. sold it to a family friend at 180k miles and they still drive it to this day. has over 300k
3. All the cars i've personally driven have been solid (all chevy V8's) so been lucky there. I'll go with the two POS cars my dad had growing up, a late 90's Ford Explorer and early 2000's Land Rover Defender. Those were two horrible vehicles that always were in the shop, especially the land rover that would overheat towing a tiny trailer.

Chevy needs to bring back the two door tahoe! I am more partial to the late 90's version but that's a sweet rig you had!

1. 1976 Chevy stepside - currently rotting away at my parents', and I wish I had the money to bring her back to life
2. 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee - still got her, although she's starting to show her age.
3. 1996 Saturn with a 2004 Volvo S40 close behind. The Saturn was a lemon...should've known when we got it used in 1996 that someone must've realized there were issues. It was fun for a while, but ended up with a massively leaking sun roof, bad wiring, and other issues. The S40...man, I just hate Volvo's braking system, and those stupid skinny tires...

Ditto on the Disco, mine was a '04. Loved it and hated it at the same time. If money wasn't a thing I would buy another once.

1 - First - '95 Chevy Z71. Lifted, custom painted. Every damn dollar I earned went into that POS.
2 - Favorite - see number 1. I loved that POS
3 - Between my wife's 2003(?) Nissan Xterra, Her 2006 Volvo S60 or her 2018 Acura MDX. She picks the worst cars.
-3b - truthfully it was both of our recent tahoe's with the 6.2L in them. Both needed transmissions under 15k miles and one needed an engine at 11k. WTF is chevy doing?

1 - 1978 Plymouth Horizon TC3 - certified :poop: box, but it was cheap
2 - 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat - loaded, drove nice, very useful with kids and crap
3 - 2004 Saturn Ion Coupe - It had the trash CVT and it was a piece of junk.

1. 1958 Chevy Apache. My uncle got from a farmer that had painted it with a paint brush and sold it to me.
2. 1983 CJ7 with a small block Chevy and a lot of off-road upgrades.
3. 1991 Toyota truck. Had a factory recall on the head gasket and never was right after that.
