So we get a good Georgia team coming here this weekend. Follow that with what should be a pretty favorable schedule until the Mayor's Cup. Then end the season with three tough series against Texas, Auburn and A&M. Oh and at some point during that time we should hopefully get McPhearson back.

What's the feeling for how the rest of the season plays out?

UGA, Tenn, and LSU at home is huge. USCe away is also a blessing. Gotta take at least one in Austin and hopefully 2 in College Station. 22-8 SEC is not unrealistic. 5-1 vs UGA and Tenn, sweep USCe, 2 vs LSU, 1 vs UTA, 2 vs AUB, and 2 vs TXAM. 22-8.

Texas is about the only one I would hesitate to bet on us taking at least 2 out of 3 on. Every other weekend we should win/sweep barring some major major setbacks.

Since Texas has so many other things to do than go to a club sport game, they may have less fans show up than Southern Miss. did. So, it'll basically be a neutral field game. ***

21-9 (2016) is our best conference record in the 30-game conference schedule era. We've won 20 three other times.

1962 we went 14-1-1 for best conference winning percentage in school history.

South Carolina had the killer B's (three weekend starters whose name started with B) and went 26-4 in the early oughts.

Last few SEC Champions

2025: Texas (22-8)
2024: Tennessee (22-8)
2023: Florida (20-10)
2022: Tennessee (25-5)
2021: Arkansas (22-8)
2020: COVID (undefeated)
2019: Vanderbilt (23-7)
2018: Florida (20-10)
2017: LSU (21-9)
2016: Mississippi State (21-9)

22 SEC wins gets us a Title.
21 wins maybe a share of Title.
19-20 wins and we’re still a Top 8 Natl seed

I'd really like to see this team win a regular season SEC title.

9-3 seems tough but doable for the 4 series before Texas, which would put us at 16-5. I could see us going as bad as 4-2 in the remaining midweek games. We could easily go 4-5 or even worse in those last 3 series.

I'm not predicting anything. I'll be plenty satisfied if we get to 20 SEC wins.

If we finish with more than 20 SEC wins and 5-1 in the midweeks that'll put us at the 43-12 level Pat's predicting. An outstanding season and likely Top 4 national seed.

I predicted 40-15 before the season started, they are well on the way to making that happen (Or better). Definitely some tough series but I like what I’m seeing with our upcoming home slate. 17-0 as of now, protect the Dude.

This is bound to happen. Oak will use adversity wisely.
And seems when there's been no real "adversity". Listening to the post game on the radio with Neil and once past the positives of the game Neil brought up the 11 strikeouts and he kinda went off (as much as he goes off) how bad some of the hitting approaches were and not taking days off. I read it as playing down to the competition.
Didn't find the radio postgame but the basic gist starts at the 5 min mark here (actually a little more animated on the radio). The entire PC is worth a listen. As someone said the other day, his are actually interesting (as are Jans to me)
