Somto Cyril, 6-11, 260-pound soph center is in the portal

Cyril is leaving the Georgia Bulldogs and looking for a new home. Reports say, "Cyril was a key piece as Georgia made a second straight NCAA Tournament this season. The sophomore averaged 9.3 points per game. He also grabbed 5.4 rebounds per game and blocked 2.2 shots per game."

Anyone have any observations about this portal possibility? Sounds like he has the size and experience Ben's looking for. Cyril, from Nigeria, is relatively new to the game but observers say he's already shown great improvement and has plenty of room for additional growth.

And that's exactly what Cyril from Georgia would be. I have no idea if Ben would have any interest in him, or if he'd have a shot at getting him, but he sure seems like an interesting possibility. At 6-11 and 260, Cyril has the massive body and shot blocking skills to deal with teams like Illinois. I would like Cyril way better than Fielder (6-11, 225), but we'll see what Ben comes up with.

Fiedler had 17 blocks this year. (.5/game) Manyawu had 20.

Not exactly a force inside.

UGA guard and leading scorer Jeremiah Wilkinson is also projected to enter the portal. On3 lists him as a PG, but I'm not sure he was the regular PG this past season. Maybe the Hawks could get him and Cyril as a package deal.
