Iowa Wrestling Taps Brian Ferentz as “Offensive Consultant,” Citing Unmatched Scoring Expertise
Ferentz, who served as the Hawkeyes’ offensive coordinator from 2017 to 2023, compiled one of the most statistically consistent records in Big Ten history. Sources close to the program say Ferentz’s primary responsibilities will include developing a “controlled aggression” framework in which Iowa wrestlers learn to identify scoring opportunities and then carefully evaluate whether to take them.
