Blood pressure is going to be higher than normal for sure. I've felt that way for all manned launches but this one is somehow different. For perspective, I worked on this very Artemis launch vehicle (it wasn't called that then) before I retired, and I retired in 2009. It's taken a long, long time to develop. Saturn was only about 5 years. Of course, it's had its up and downs with at least 5 different presidential administrations with their - input.

Somehow, we as a nation got complacent and stopped understanding how incredibly dangerous any manned space flight is. I really, really hope all goes well.

Well, if something does go wrong, God forbid, I'm sure the Democrats and their 38% of the country will blame Trump for it.
