I have been on this website (Rivals and now On3) since 2003. It is clear to me now more than ever that recruiting only matters if you have a system for the players you recruit. Until there is a system we can land 40 blue chip recruits and we'll still lose to a team with a system in place.
- Rah Rah BS is not going to get it done
- 5* recruits aren't going to get it done
- Tradition is not going to get it done
- Fan loyalty isn't going to help
One thing and one thing alone can get us in a better place, and that is developing a system that works and then build off of it. That is it! Until that happens we are going to continue to get beat.

What bullshite. We don’t have the NIL money to get the blue chip players out of Georgia. This is just a clickbait attempt.
There’s more there than Georgia can take. Our O line coach has relationships there already.
I totally agree you, we need a identity. Tell me what our Offenisive Identity is? Who aer we ? Outside the first 20-25 plays of each game (when we are playing someone with a pulse) , the offense is inept for the remainder of the game. How in H#LL can we not adjust when things are not working?
Under Osborne everyone knew who and what we were. He used the first 20-25 plays to determine what the defense would give him. He adjusted to the defense , idenitified the weaknesses.
How about defense ? We now have totally reset the D , in year 4. No coach , especially one paid this much money, can be this clueless about a defind defensive Identity.
But it isn’t just Georgia we are recruiting against. It is the whole SEC and ACC. And I’m not talking about recruiting the guys that don’t have a ton of offers or a lot of NIL money being tossed at them. I am talking about our ability to go into SEC country and get some of the top players. That will take a boat load of money. Money we don’t have to the extent that the top schools we are competing against do have.

We recruit against them everywhere we go. With our O line coach’s relationships in Georgia it would be foolish to ignore the state. We’ve had some good players from Georgia. What difference does it make if they’re from a southern state? Should we ignore Louisiana and Florida as well. Georgia recruits there too.

Just like our Calibraska and Florida days worked out. No legit 5* is coming here out of GA. Maybe we get a low level 4* that needs to develope. Georgia and Bama don’t need to wait around for those kids. The problem is they don’t stack so we get 1 or 2 a year. Wooooooopie
It doesn’t seem like Huskers have much success in player development any more. I don’t know our recruiting budget, but I’d double down on recruiting successful FCS kids, do it by telephone to their agents. Don’t even think I’d spend money to bring them to campus on recruiting trips. I’d spend all my money on NIL. Kids only going to be here one to two years, so no need to develop relationships. Cash and carry.
Where are your Hawks recruiting? Bet they’re recruiting kids in the SEC footprint.

Ok, ok... joking aside. It does appear Trey and the '27 commits might help us add some recruiting success. Not sure how Rhule can whiff so miserably in '26 recruiting and land studs in '27. Odd.
