Malcolm has hired Matt Mckay as the boys HC for 26-27. Looks like he is current out in Sidney.

I heard in church this weekend that Randolph's head coach Cory Simpson is stepping away. I am not sure if they are hiring internally or if that is not fully out yet or what because I have not seen a posting for it (based on my source I am not 100% sure it is even happening). If that is the case their assistant Brent Gatezemeyer might have been an assistant at Norfolk when they won the state championship so he could be a good fit. They also have a younger coach whos name I do not know assisting them and I believe coaching their junior high, so perhaps it already is filled. They lose a bunch of seniors and solid talent as well so whoever it would be it would be a full reset. (I will see what I learn at the next service)
I also heard that Tyler Smith who took over for Todd Strom (who took over for Gary Eisenhauer) last year for Bloomfield part way through the season will be the head coach for the Bees next year as well. They told me that his first game came against St. Mary's and outside of maybe Archangels (St. Francis) or one of the two teams that played for the D1 championship I am not sure you could find a tougher first game opponent. They also lose a lot of senior starters so very similar situations there to keep an eye on in the Lewis & Clark Conference (what is left of it).

What is Todd Strom up to nowadays. He was my coach back in the 2000.

2000 would have been around the time he was in Pierce and they got runner up if I am not mistaken. Matt Herian would have been a sophomore or junior. He is the Supt. at Bloomfield. He coached the first half of the season before stepping away for some family health concerns. I am guessing he will still be around the program as much as he loves the game. He also does some leadership training across the country.

Correct, he was my coach at Pierce, Herian was a sophomore that year we were an 8 seed, cinderalla'd our way to the championship game.
