My thinking as well. His other gigs sounded a little like the typical small restaurant owner. Their employees aren't making much, but they're still making more than the owner, who's working his azz off.
He probably got swiped up by Cohen.
That would be my guess also. I know he was an unsuccessful candidate for the MSU gig Joel Coleman got when he replaced him on T&L.
