Just FYI: What would you consider the "Must Have" streaming service?

For me, it's DirecTV Stream. It costs more but it's live tv, which is a must for me, and you get ESPN unlimited with it.
ESPN unlimited. That's all. And free locals.
All the ESPN networks. ESPN+ only gives you the plus content. If you are getting the regular channels it is because of your provider login NOT ESPN+
I can find something to watch on all of them. I find myself opening Peacock most. That and Paramount Plus.

Getting both Netflix and HBO Max w/ads for a total of $10 / month through Verizon is pretty legit. I watch way more of those than anything else, although I don’t watch a ton of TV. I’m also grandfathered into a Netflix premium upgrade that Verizon no longer offers, for another $17 per month. So, basically $27 total for 4K Netflix with no ads and HBOMax (also 4K, I think) with ads. I’m real happy with that setup.
Also have Disney+ with no ads, plus Hulu (w/ads) and ESPN+ for $15 / month total for all. That’s what the kids watch a lot.

Dude, good sir, that is between $220 and $250 per month total. I realize I am different, but after almost a solid year of not watching anything on TV, I dropped down to ESPN Unlimited and a Tablo box with a decent antenna for the free locals. Canceled Disney+, YouTubeTV and ESPN+. Over a thousand dollars a year for me that I did not even use once...
I think I am in the mode now of pay for a month at a time if I want to watch it, which is almost never for me outside of sports on ESPN.

If I had to pick one, it'd be Disney, to get all the games.

The truth for me is there is just not much that is must see. I could probably have an antenna with a tv and access to YouTube and never have any issues finding things to inform and/or entertain me.
Highly dependent on what you want to watch. For me I could easily get by with ESPN unlimited and an antenna for locals. As I’ve gotten older I find that I use the TV more for background noise than anything else so most of the time if my tv is on it’s on Pluto TV which is free. But because my fiancé likes trash television we have DirecTV stream. We split it with my parents back in MS so the cost is much cheaper.

NONE of them are "must have" at all for us, none. Got rid of cable in 2012 and haven't had it since.

-I subscribed to Netflix probably 2 months ago and watched Peaky Blinders 6 seasons and Vikings Valhalla and then cancelled Netflix
-Subscribed to ESPN Unlimited as soon as it came out last fall and cancelled it the day after The Egg Bowl.
-Watched Hulu for about a month in December (wife watched a bunch of Hallmark type Christmas crap and I couldn't find anything I wanted to watch so cancelled it after Christmas.
The hardest part was breaking the wife's addiction to everything BRAVO related but she even says now how stupid those shows were and can't believe she ever watched them.
-We have an antenna on a 12' piece of PVC conduit for ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS. Sub channels from those network channels like MeTV, ION, The CW, Laff, Grit, MeTV Toons, CREATE, PBS Kids, etc etc. all free
-ROKU box w/ way more channels than anybody needs. If you don't have an antenna download the NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX apps and watch the network shows the day after they air. Pluto TV, Roku Channel, Plex, Tubi, etc etc etc all have movies and shows all for free.
No way I'll go back to subscribing to a pay subscription service w/ multiple channels, ever.

you get to drop your TV bundled package... Basically ESPN Unlimited ($30/month) is anything at all on ESPN no matter what and you do not need a TV package from anyone. ESPN+ is $13/month (now called ESPN Select) and basically means the State games against OOC like USM, Tulane, etc.
All that to say is I pay about $300/year for TV which is just ESPN Unlimited now. I guess you could search every game on Youtube and pirated links.

We spend about $60 a month and get the ESPN thing with Disney/Hulu plus have Netflix and HBO through the a Verizon Discount. In total I think it’s about $60. Also have Comcast/xfinity for internet so that gives free access to Peacock Premium, and then have an antenna for locals, although I have to stand on one foot and hang out the window to get CBS most of the time.
We watch ballgames and kid movies/shows. If it’s just me watching I’ll cycle between Mountain Men reruns, All in the Family, or whatever of the following movies are on something free that month: Rocky/Rocky II/Kingdom of Heaven/Hoosiers.

$5 Daily sling pass. Rarely am I watching live tv more than 4 days a month, so it's a clear winner. I could get by with any one of the other streaming platforms and would probably just rotate them as I watched things, but we have peacock through walmart + and of course prime through amazon.
