Refs are legit afraid of Hurley. In one clip after the game he went forehead to forehead and said something to one of the refs. He probably was taunting them. The ref walked away with no other interaction. Pope, on the other hand, gets a technical for even thinking about dressing someone down. He doesn't even have to do it.

Pope doesn't deserve to be here either and it's due to poor KSAs.

U would tell Lincoln Grant needs to go because he liked to drink. Hurley would have killed it here and we have had Cal and Pitino here. Neither high character guys.
Going to extremes when you don't have a valid argument....got it. Using a completely unrelated thing to justify your opinion is laughable

I hate Hurley, but sign me up. I hated Calipari too, but in 2006 and 2008 said sign me up.

It doesn’t matter who they are or what they do. You win, we win here. If they win then cover up whatever you need to. Winning and losing is all that matters and all that can matter at this level. You have reservations about that then you’ll lose. The thread is too thin. One holdback and you aren’t making it.
You wouldn't hate him if he was your coach, and you were going to the Final 4 every year. And he was firing up your fanbase, fighting for his players.

Hurley is an animal. He is borderline psychopath and kind of openly admits it. He's obsessed with winning.

At UConn it took a handful of years to get going following the end of the Ollie era (which was a disaster). Cal lost to that guy… unreal.

The formula seems to be find some hard nosed guys that don’t mind being coached really hard while sprinkling in some Blue Chips. He’s a persona but the players must like they play for a dude that is so committed. Probably like many things it will eventually burn out… or he will go a bridge to far à la Bob Knight. Without a doubt he has it rolling… he is as right now as anything in sports. Ricky Bobby in his prime!

Many on this board would give their left nut to have him in Lexington… despite his personal flaws that rub people wrong.

As I said Hurley is OBSESSED with himself and looking cool and quirky and constantly aware of folks watching him so he's in full mug for the camera mode 24/7. He lives for it. I could see that coming after his first Championship, guy started getting caught up in the notoriety and went into full Look at Me mode for the attention.
