Big series with #4 on #5. UGA coming off of a home sweep of last place 1 win USC where they didn't exactly light up the woods but got the job done winning 5-2, 3-2, 9-7. They appear to be a lot like mississippi. Like to run the ball out of the park so gotta keep the free passes down. Intriguing matchup with GA native Foster likely to get the start on Thurs against the home state team. Charlie went to HS in Snellville not far from where I live. Hopefully he can repeat the performance he gave us in oxfart. I do feel pretty good about this one at home but it will be tough. We owe those 17ers from the last time they came to Vegas with their trash talking.

Well, to quote the old adage - "Everybody is somebody in Snellville..."

UGA does have some pop. But, they feast on a very weak OOC and play in a hitters park, so their offense can be inflated. But, I really don't their pitching is good. I went to their last pre-season scrimmage and I was really surprised at how little development their pitching has had under Wes. Lots of walks in HBP. I don't think any of their weekend guys would start for us right now.

I also live amongst these heathens in Forsyth county. The typical UGA fan probably doesn't even know their baseball team is #5.

Was that the game where our catcher stood over one of their players after tagging him out at the plate; ended up causing a 30 min video review delay and multiple ejections...?

Yes. A game where the UGA players, in accordance with their normal comportment, had been rather animated. They came out, our players came out and the SEC office, which apparently had been left in charge of a sophomore intern from Samford, decided that the rules required everyone on both teams who joined the fray to be ejected, but thought it only fair to toss only those who could be identified by their number on TV. Being a cool evening, most GA players were wearing pull-overs. They lost two guys. We lost about 8. We had pitchers hitting and playing in the outfield.

I like this matchup at home. I like us 2 of 3 with a shot at a sweep. Positive vibes all the way around.

Yeah no we didn’t. His antics cost us that UGA game and the Saturday OM game. If we get those 2 that team definitely hosts. He was a below average catcher with the personality of a superstar. The real leader of that team was Mershon
He shouldn't have done that but the SEC office being incredibly unfair was also culpable too because they threw our players out who were already on the field and coming off when the incident happened and then let the UGA players who left the dugout stay in just because they had pullovers on and couldn't read their numbers.

True but sadly he was the best catcher we had during the Lemonis post-NC period.

You said it. Living here in GA, I would say most every UGA fan could give 2 ***** less about anything other than football no matter how good they are in baseball or whatever else

Didn’t the SEC basically say “sorry… we left the interns in charge because the entire office was gone watching our favorite team Alabama in the Final Four”?

Henry Allen is one of Georgias top bats. Started his career here. Although they have been just a two man show in conference play with Jackson and Phelps

Never said he was the leader of the team. And no, he wasn’t Logan Tanner back there. But coming off 2 9-21 seasons, it was nice to see someone give a damn. The UGA game he went too far, yes, but some teams need some grit on the field. Especially when the coach rarely gets off the bucket.

FWIW, agree on Mershon.

I live amongst them as well, when informed how good their team is doing they're surprised but unimpressed. They seem to have no frame of reference. Which is odd to me, to be that "die hard" of a fan and to be oblivious to everything but Football and recruiting.
