If you want to be treated that way in a restaurant, go ahead. You also get to have the other patrons laughing at you.But still being served and fed.

It's a table by the restroom next to a family with a bunch of screaming kids. It's not a so-so table. It's the table by the kitchen door, and we are being asked to pay as much as the patrons at the best tables.
But still being served and fed.
Like you I can only speak for myself.
I dont CARE if the puppies win the next 10 National Championships!
I dont care how many they have won!
They wish they were in our shoes everyday. Why is that, If winning National Championships in BB is paramount.
"Would you take the next 10 basketball national championships if it meant we left the B1G?" No I would not!Would be a good poll.
"Would you take the next 10 basketball national championships if it meant we left the B1G?"
I think most UConn and Rutgers fans would take the wins.
Banners fly forever.
We still talk about the Louisville win and beating #1 Purdue in a regular season game.
A national championship?
Pretty sure that would be a big deal.
It's interesting that neither of your favorite sporting events had anything to do with the Big Ten."Would you take the next 10 basketball national championships if it meant we left the B1G?" No I would not!
Was at the Louisville game, 2nd Greatest Sporting event I ever attended next to the, Army Navy Game.
We will not win a BB or FB National Championship in my life time.
Such is life.
It is isnt itIt's interesting that neither of your favorite sporting events had anything to do with the Big Ten.
Well with that said, there is no game in the B1G that can top Army vs Navy.Interesting and sad.
What's worse is being told that we're being fed dumpster slop because our chefs need a bigger, fancier kitchen and more cooking staff, even though some of them have repeatedly demonstrated that they can't boil water or make toast, let alone prepare a hot meal.Who is being served and fed?
I would say the AD, coaches and players are being served and fed.
They get all the benefits of being in the restaurant (the money).
As a fan?
We're outside the restaurant eating out of the dumpster (constant losing and unmet expectations).
We're left saying to UConn/Miami(OH) fans: "Sure, you have hot food. But my friends are inside eating the good food. So I got that going for me."
I'll tell you though - those Miami (OH) and UConn fans look pretty happy with their hot McDonald's food (winning).
Obviously it would better to eat the restaurant food (winning in the B1G). But getting harder to argue that McDonald's isnt better than the dumpster slop we're currently eating.
That IS interesting. It's interesting that neither of your favorite sporting events had anything to do with the Big Ten.
You may be showing that you are nearly as old as I am! I remember the Army-Navy game was a big deal when I was a kid. The first Army-Navy game I remember was Pete Dawkins' senior year in 1958, with Bill Carpenter as "the lonely end." I remember young veterans joshing each other the following year when Navy, behind Heisman Trophy winner Joe Bellino, walloped Army. (Can you imagine an Army or Navy player now winning the Heisman Trophy?)Well with that said, there is no game in the B1G that can top Army vs Navy.
There is just more to the game in that game.
That was a different time my friend. Hopefully Roger Staubach wont be the last, ya never know. You may be showing that you are nearly as old as I am! I'm sure I would! There's no telling how much more Staubach would have achieved in the NFL if he hadn't honored his service commitment and spent four years in the Navy. That was a different time my friend. Hopefully Roger Staubach wont be the last, ya never know.
Yer makin me feel young, you'd probably call me young man![]()
absolutely hated him, and the Fedora as a Giants fan.I'm sure I would! There's no telling how much more Staubach would have achieved in the NFL if he hadn't honored his service commitment and spent four years in the Navy.
I was first in the SF Bay Area and then the D.C. area. I got to hate Staubach both places! I well remember 12/23/1972, when he came in for Craig Morton and threw two touchdown passes in the last 90 seconds to beat the Niners 30-28 in the NFC divisional playoff.absolutely hated him, and the Fedora as a Giants fan.
