As a Democratic voter (leftist, lib or whatever you want to term me), I find “No Kings Day” to be a bit embarrassing and counterproductive.

I drove by one of the events and saw hundreds of people protesting, but not for any particular thing. I saw signs that made vague demands for “science” or “justice” and people dancing in costumes, like dinosaurs and toads, that seem to make light of what we are being told is a very serious situation in our country.

If you are going to say that President Donald Trump and his cronies are Nazi fascists and that the president has deployed a Gestapo force that is kidnapping and killing people in concentration camps, your response should not be cheeky signs and goofing off. To invoke the horrors of the Holocaust is a bold step: If you TRULY believe the moment justifies that language and comparison, it demands real action, not snark.

I am now convinced that these national organizations, like Indivisible or 50501, are self-serving at best and in reality accomplish only the task of tiring out liberal and leftist movements. Essentially, the participants in No Kings tire themselves out making signs and standing by roadways to honks from passersby, then pat themselves on the back and think they’ve fought fascism.

Fox investigated and found that it's George Soros and Neville Singham-linked groups and nonprofits

Marxist groups are involved, including the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and People's Forum

It's being called a "STAGED, MANAGED PRODUCTION"

The problem I have with the No Kings rallies is that he people don't know what they're protesting other than that they hat Trump. It's pretty much the same for liberal posters on this board.

But ask what rights they've lost or what fascist activity and they can't answer. Dems are good at getting people riled up and the lemmings jump on board without knowing why. I'm OK if they oppose certain policies and explain their thinking but they can't do it. Even Bernie's and AOC's tax the rich and no oligarchy rhetoric. Let's say they tax the rich an additional $50 billion per year. I might be OK with that but then what? Will that make the cost of housing, groceries, and insurance come down?
