Well he did get the bad end of the whistle and still won. I’m not a fan either but he does back it up.
I don't think they got a bad whistle, especially during the comeback, many times Duke drove to the basket & I thought a foul would be called that wasn't. Had UConn hit their FT it wouldn't even came down to that shot imo.

Yea I dont care, all this whining about Hurley and people that think he is an a-hole ... man stop crying about it. It honestly seems like people are looking for a reason to not like him because he is the enemy and turned us down to coach Kentucky.

All I see is a winner with a the competitive spirit. I can openly admit I wish he was our coach and I'm jealous.

3 final fours In 4 years. Thats like peak Cal and Pitino years.

People hated Calipari when he was at Memphis and said this and that, till he was our coach and winning. Winning is what matters. Cal was a great person to boot...and guess what, I bet Hurley probably is too... most people in coaching at heart are, you have to be to lead young men.
It's like you have never watched him coach a game or watched a post game interview... especially after he loses. The guy has issues and I don't want him near UK.... walking time bomb.

And yet he wins championships or takes teams to the FF now.

Hey, but at least we have nice guy Pope. Such a smart and funny good guy goofball. Hurley could never be as kind as that man.

Dude....he's an arrogant prick. Sure, Pitino and Cal and K were to some degree but they never screamed at a ref they were the "best effing coach in the sport." He's an ***. Spent last year whining how they had to play back to back games in Maui. He's a sore winner and a sore loser.

NOBODY likes a dude like that. Even if they are right. Nobody wants give ******** like that the satisfaction.
He is a total narcissistic *** . Id be embarassed if he were my coach

lol....riiight.

Nah, I was raised to be a competitor but also be gracious win or lose; now that being said, I don't mind a little smack either. But the difference is I don't treat people like **** when the game is done. Which I don't think can be said much of Hurley/Golden/Oats from stories.
The POINT is that our AD clearly lands on your side of the fence, which is why we will never win #9 while he’s making decisions.

Our new motto should be “We’re UK, we used to be the best, but hey at least our coach isn’t a pr*ck.”

You're wrong as you can be. EVERY BODY loves a winner, you included. And if he were on our bench the same complainers on here would act like he was a god.

Some of y’all are softer than Pope, and have clearly never won anything or have had a competitive edge!

Hurley’s antics are called Alpha Dog , same as Golden, and vintage Calipari/ Pitino!

What’s Hurley supposed to do, walk over to Scheyer and apologize for embarrassing him, and offer to drive him to mental health treatment, while holding his hand as they walk up to the door?

He’s a mess and always an angry mess. It’s insanity and IMO he needs to be restrained and in a gurney.

Calling a person garbage because he’s animated and cares about his team and players and is competitive. What has this world come to? Soft *** pussies.

On the outside sure. But if you treat people like crap they’ll turn on you in a heartbeat.

Hurley at Kentucky would bring back the mid-‘90s Kentucky domination.

He is exactly the type of psychopath Kentucky needs and requires.

He behaves like a child, and not even an emotionally stable child. It's honestly embarrassing to watch.

Ditto.

Hurley is a prick. Talks down about opponent's and not in a "hey you did good but we still won kinda way". Reminds me a bit of Golden. And it's ok to have a little bit of that. But they take it overboard EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

They act like dicks when they win. And then act like spoiled brats when they lose.

The act gets old.
Agreed! Also, K was the exact same way! He always put on a front like he was gracious in wins and losses, but that’s just not the case. Look no further than what he said to that Oregon player in the handshake line several years ago. Brooks I believe. Total *******!

Jay Wright wasn't. Tubby wasn't. Rupp wasn't- he might have been blunt- but I wouldn't call him a prick/dick.
Joe B certianly wasn't. And Rick for all his faults wasn't a complete ahole all the time.

I can't remember many interviews with Hurley where I didn't think "This dude is full of himself. " K, as much as he was a jackass, you could respect in terms of he was hard on himself and worked hard. Sure he worked refs over, but not like Hurley does. I never saw K or Rick or even Self chase down refs like Hurley does.

Dude's just a straight up ***.
Pat Riley said Rupp threw an ashtray at his head once, so yea there's that

Idk I missed a lot of the second half. Was doing yard work. I know the first half was all duke in terms of officiating. I swear, Boozer was sent to the line more than any big man I can ever remember this season. Glad he’s OUT!

UConn has two 4 stars signs for next year at the moment. No 5’s

They had two 4 stars join last year, Mullins and Reibe.
Exactly! I read right here that you cannot win with 4 star freshmen. Fact of the matter is, most of the best college players are/were former 4 star guys. Many of them just develop a little later.

It was like that in the 1st half, however, when UConn started making their run it changed, many times I thought the whistle would blow but it didn't.

LMAO neither Cal, not Rick ever acted like Golden/Hurley. That’s just nonsense. I watched both their entire careers here and they NEVER acted that way. Cal, maybe somewhat but not to that extreme.

UConn was at a different level of low when Hurley took the job, and NIL and the transfer portal wasn't a thing at that time. It's totally different circumstances.
And?! Fact is, he would’ve never lasted four years here because he wasn’t winning. That simple. And all this NIL/transfer portal thing making it easier to construct teams isn’t as easy as it seems. If anything, it’s more difficult and competitive now for a Blueblood program to build great rosters. These guys can go anywhere that’s gonna pay them more.

He’d win here but flame out just as hot.

UK/BBN wouldn’t be able to handle the ego, personality, aggression…

Tubby and Cal got a little grace and time. The second Hurley dropped off just a hair it’d get ugly.

Hurley wouldn’t f**k around with people. There’s no shaking hands and kissing babies with him.

You guys saying this are so full of crap. Just because you have low morals and want to win at all costs doesn't mean every one else does. I don't want him here. I would still watch because I am a UK fan, not a Hurley fan. But I would continue to point out the guy is an unhinged narcissistic prick who doesn't deserve to be here.
