It’s unbelievable the overt bias and favoritism. These networks have no integrity. They are just propaganda machines. Cannot believe we’ve entered an age like this in college basketball where they just flat out put fanboys in broadcasts.
I can almost say for 100% sure that Rafferty was for UConn. With him being straight up big east. He has always been pro Big East. I see no reason why he wouldn't be now.

Na hes been on his knees for coach K for years now. Watch the clip, the guy is clearly upset at that **** going in. I mean he had to regroup and remind himself he’s supposed to be impartial.

Those guys like Rafferty have been inside of coach K’s asss for a couple decades now. When he calls a Duke game you just have to cut it down.

How appropriate for Grant Hill to be on the other side of a last minute shot since for those too young to remember he actually was the one who threw the perfect pass to Laettner in 1992.
Your post made me think that we are mostly focused on the Duke meltdown but we have to also give credit to the UConn players who stole the ball and then passed it so that it ended up in the hands of an excellent 3 point shooter who was wide open even if he were a mile from the goal. That is a well coached team under pressure pulling that off. Duke was in panic mode.

I mean, he wasn't wrong...thats probably the biggest collapse in elite 8 history...literally all duke had to do was take a foul
Not really. If he’s fouled and misses the one and one and they still hit a 3, then everyone questions why he didn’t just throw it ahead.

Hill is an alumni so we cannot emphasize with his initial reaction as fans.

Rafrs should have been excited about it. He showed bias way more than Hill IMO

Scheyer was coaching them to pass ahead!!!!😂😂😂. Guys is a sht coach. We’ll never know if he would recruit any of these guys in the real college basketball era. I think he’d be an absolute flop. I watch Duke often even thought they’re in a mid major league now and he is not impressive at all.

Scheyer only has a job because he's one of "those" people

I love all the reactions. It's what you'd expect. Hell, if you were Grant Hill you'd have a look of disappointment. He still did his job. And Raf, he's just great. Waiting for Ian (btw, that dude is fantastic) to make the call, careful not step on him, and then to add his buzz words. Just awesome.

No, he didn't. He stayed quiet to let Ian finish the call and to let the moment breath. It's why he's so great. He knows what he's doing.

Speaking of bias. Did Scheyer really just lie and say one of his coaches got punched after a game and the lie was just swept under a rug like it never happened?
I don't normally take up for Scheyer or Duke but I am not convinced that was a lie. There was total pandamonium at the end of that game and so it is possible that one of the assistants did get hit. None of the video showed it happen so we really don't know. Having said that, sometimes we don't see players on the floor get hit but when they are walking around with blood dripping down, we know it happened.

Yeah not really getting the vibe that he was disappointed. Good color guys don’t step on the play by play. It was a shockingly dumb collapse and a 35 foot dagger. I had the same reaction watching it live.

Agreed. Kinda my point. I saw legit shock on Raf's face. I also saw legit disappointment on Hill's face, along with shock. Which, duh, he SHOULD look disappointed. I'm amazed he didn't sound that way. I've watched it so many times, the camera on the announcers that is, just because it's so fun and pure. Moments like those are what makes the tournament so great.
