2 B1G games were complete defensive slobberknockers that came down to OT. Offense is still a little too Jeckyll and Hyde at times but defense and goaltending will keep us in almost every game. Just hope our FOGO isnt too hurt after getting crunched in the first OT.

Insane game!

LAX desperately needs a stadium - or just let them share with soccer.. And if only someone could explain how it makes sense to have people enter in the end zone, barricade all of the entrances other than the middle so everyone has to walk 1/4 way around stadium. Then jam everyone leaving through the same area so it’s human gridlock.

Couldn’t watch the game real time. Just finished. Man that was intense. Give the guys props for never giving up.
Defense was once again awesome. Offense needs some work. Sloppy.

Great, gutsy win! Did what were had to do and should build confidence going forward.

Two biggest criticisms I’ve had about this team have been poor off ball movement / lack of any offensive identity other than hero ball and very low shooting percentage. I believe we have addressed the first issue by bringing in Bieda. Shooting accuracy is still a problem

Offense is much more cohesive this season than it has been in years. We are creating looks in multiple ways besides dodge and shoot. However shooting percentage remains a problem. Not really a shot selection issue, other than a handful of questionable takes but I don’t mind being a volume shooting team. The issue is that we miss too many looks that top level D1 teams should finish 99 times out of 100. This has been an issue for multiple seasons. Not sure if they are trying to be too perfect or looking for highlight reel goals instead of simply putting it in the net.

We outplayed JHU for most of the game and created a lot more opportunities but they converted their looks at a much higher percentage, otherwise this is a fairly easy win.

Yep. We hit some of those great looks and we win that game easy in regulation. But we found a way, and that’s what good teams do.

Considering New Brunswick is on the upswing. Each time I go up 18 there’s a new building added to the skyline.
“Upswing”? Says who - RU alumni? I’m fine with NB but it’s neither a selling point for RU nor a great college town. It’s probably one of the biggest knocks on RU together with the massive disconnected campus. This only came up because someone was ripping Baltimore as far as why JHU campus sucks …what next New Haven blows and so does Yale campus? Forget gross Philly and Upenn too?

You do know 2 things can be true. Baltimore is a dump and on a downswing. New Brunswick not a great college town but the city as a hole is on an upswing. Grew up in the area, went to Rutgers. Places I wouldn’t think about going are now 30 story residential condos and apartments attracting retirees and young families.

NB is 10000000x the college town Hopkins is in. It’s not even debatable.

Please explain how Hopkins “handed” us the game? Can’t wait to hear this. Probably as good as your New Brunswick/Baltimore reference.
We actually handed them the game. Beat them every way. Then we took it back when it counted. We were the better team. Could have easily won by 3 or 4 in regular time. Aldo doesn’t know what he’s looking at.

Did you even watch the game? Hopkins had the ball behind the net with 12 seconds left. Just had to eat it game was over. Instead he tried to feed a pass towards the sideline that went OOBs not only turning it over but giving RU decent field position. I’ve never seen a player do that in 20 years of watching lax - from rec to D1. Or how about when #6 pole has the ball with 40 seconds left and tries to shoot at the open RU net. RU was meant to win the game no doubt because JHU blew it so many times you knew RU would make them pay.

If you followed this thread, you would clearly see that I watched the entire game. Beginning to end.

Let’s agree RU showed great heart and flat out made JHU pay when it counted. But “beat them every way”? Yeah easily by 3 or 4 in regular time yet RU was losing by two late. IDK where you guys come up with this stuff. Great win. Hope we play better against the likes of PSU.

You don’t know what you are watching. Funny to see you try and explain it though. Please continue.

These guys are the Cardiac Kids. Jacksonville, Villanova. and now Hopkins
Said it early. This isn’t our 22 team where we are going to roll teams with talent. Every game in conference is going to be a battle. Guys deserve a ton of credit after the OSU loss. We were the better team last week and didn’t get it done. This week we did. Hats off to the staff and players. A lesson in never stopping.

I don’t know why this is a topic of conversation. You sound ridiculous about JHU/Baltimore. Great RU lax win - period. But nobody other than a RU alumni would say NB is whateverX better than Baltimore. There are like 5 colleges within 10 minutes of JHU. Fells Point. Inner Harbor. Anyway sure NB is amazing college town on the rise…

Hopkins will never be the juggernaut it once was. Still a very solid program but a number of other schools have caught up or surpassed them. Their alumni better be prepared to continue funding at a high level or they are going to have bigger problems. They don’t have the football resources other Big Ten programs have access to and that school, outside of the education, is very unattractive. Baltimore is awful, girls are terrible, and there is no real social life to speak of.
Senility must be really hard for you. Go back and read the thread moron:
