There has been talk about retaining players, hopefully it does not happen but I would not be surprise if Blanca Thomas left after this season. Unless she is dedicated to a strenuous workout during the off season heading into her junior year. The commitment has to be her choice of whether she wants more minutes going into next season, whether it's Carolina or somewhere else.

Correct. IMO, get in shape and you play. And add a mean streak.

Great kid, great family. Just want her to become a force.
Agree. While not a 180 overhaul, I have been impressed with Kate Koval this season. Significantly increased her mobility, agility, and plays for Kim Mulkey even against teams that don't have a traditional big.

Was really hoping we could develop her into something powerful. Fingers crossed for next year.

Though I also think Toomey's development is behind. I'd love to see her take it off the dribble from the top of the lane/key. She hasn't quite mastered her shots at the rim, but she could take a lot of her defenders off the dribble and pull up for a shot deep in the lane, but not at the rim. She should study Breanna Stewart's game including her old UConn days. Heck, she should probably watch some film on Teonni Key. Admittedly I couldn't watch the game, but she went off for 27 points and 12 rebounds last game against Vandy. She must be doing something right. I also like Angela Dugalich from UCLA. All 6'4" ish players.

I said back when Blanca was a freshman she should try to copy Liz Kitley as a role model. That and get
in great shape and I think BT can still have a great career at UNC.

If our coaching staff was smart, Kitley is an analyst right now. I would pay her to come down to Chapel Hill to work with BT and CT.

I am not sure Kitley a VT grad and ACC POY would be very open to working with our girls but I
have an alternative for us. How about Tyler Hansbrough? He was beyond great and he is on campus calling games for the men and teaching a class.

Kitley never recovered well from her ACL.

Elizabeth Kitley is the Assistant to the Head Coach, External Operations for the Virginia Tech women's basketball team, a role she began in October 2025. She focuses on community outreach, fundraising, and NIL efforts, while also assisting with broadcast color commentary for the Virginia Tech Sports Network.

She is also a women's basketball analyst for the ACCN

Thanks for the update. One of my greatest regrets is not having Kitley at UNC and her high school buddy.

Boy has this team had bigtime overall improvement and tons of individual improvement.

Just think how much Nivar, Grant, Toomey, Harris, Aarnisalo, Hull, Brooks, Henderson have improved.

It has been amazing.

This team has had to replace 3 players now in the pro's and basically one All ACC player out hurt.

I think it has been an amazing coaching job and I am so proud of this team.

They are good getting better. Keep bringing it Tar Heel WBB!

I agree totally with your tarboy. Our team this young has to be one of the youngest teams in this years tournament. CB and Staff had to do a lot of teaching and coaching this season. Go Heels!
