I think you miss my point. If RK is not able to play at all next year, then this team is going to need another PG. Case in point, when Kendall Marshall went down, Larry Drew left unexpectedly, and Roy was left with only one PG, Steadman White. You can never have too many points guards. Roy learned the hard way and the next year he made blank sure he had more than enough. 3397 I think you forgot the year that DK had to play the point because all of the true point guards that year were hurt. KM, PP, etc. We do not want to have another scenario like that one moving forward. Barker is like Steadman White; she is not fast enough and athletic enough to contend with the top PGs in the ACC. There is a reason why she gets little playing time. She is perfect for the Mid major level in D1. There is a reason why she is a walk on. Please do not take this the wrong way, but if we had to depend on her then we are going to be in trouble and we all know it. I just speaking the facts. She is a wonderful person, she works hard, and I like her a lot, but there is a reason why she is one of the last players to get in the game. If you look at Duke's roster for next year and the freshmen that are coming in, Kara has a lot of true PGs which indicates she understands how important that position is in Major D1 basketball and that is what I am saying. If Zam Jones wants to come to UNC, I would not turn her away and that is what I am saying.

The move is only worth it if you can land a clear star-level player. Zam Jones is not that. She is the 4th best player on a relatively mediocre NCSU team. She is only average at defense, undersized, and inconsistent in her decision-making. she made a significant leap this year, so kudos to her. she may still have a high ceiling. Of course you can say the same thing about Aarnisalo.

We have more than enough guards and wings. We need skilled size to complement what we already have. Period! End of discussion!
Absolutely Lucretius. There is no point IMO of bringing in any player if all of ours stay except someone
that can help us as a big. We have wonderful talent at guard, wing and even the 4. What we lack is someone

Have to admit that I was wrong on this, ND Hidalgo is a game changer. Did not expect them to win, but congrats to them and the ACC. Maybe we can earn a little respect for the ACC after this game.
HH is one heck of a combination basketball talent and heart/desire. Unreal performance.
On top of that she has another year to create chaos for other teams in college basketball.
Yeah, I argued in the preseason that ND did not have significant talent beyond Hidalgo and she was not good enough to carry a team. I was somewhat right on the first point but very wrong on the second.
That's two ACC schools in the elite eight, who would have thought?
In the TCU/UVA game Suarez and Myles scored or assisted on every TCU point in the game. I have never heard of anything like that at any level.

Well, Duke men blew a 19 point lead just like our men did. I do think their head coach is going to get fired like ours. They had more McDonalds AAU on their team then we do every year but he will not get fired. LOL.
Quinonez definitely looks like the most athletic on the floor for their team. And she’s got a good ball handle and is deadly from deep. I don’t see many players being able to defend her. She had a great first half and game today. Wish we had someone of that caliber coming in.
I have a quick observation from yesterday's games. Did everyone notice how the media and the ACC network people in the studio were trying to defend Duke getting beat yesterday? I know on the ACC network they were trying to analyze what had happened after that got beat by UCLA. Boy, I tell you they love Kara and Duke. When we got beat there was no analyzing, etc. The ACC network people did not say too much about the match up, etc. with UCONN. If was like that knew we were going to lose without any hope, but for Louisville, ND, VA, and Duke they hinted that those teams could win their games if they played a near flawless game. It goes back to the same old bias our team seems to get from our own ACC network people. It is just a crying shame we cannot get the love like other teams in our conference get year in and year out.
They also never asked Geno a single question about Carolina in the pre-game press conference before our game. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Win so they HAVE to talk about you! Win the big games (next year Oklahoma in Paris and our ACC/SEC match up). Win the regular season and/or ACC tournament. They’ll talk. Land or flirt with being a 2 seed annually and they’ll talk.
I am not sure the ACC Network would talk about UNC WBB if they won the National Championship Lol.

As I was watching the game, it definitely crossed my mind more than a few times that Michigan was a good team. Texas made it look super easy! Out of the Big4, they're playing the best!
UCONN leads 26-24 at halftime, SC is outworking them on the boards but they are unable to capitalize on their opportunities. UConn has forced 9 turnovers, but SC has a 10 rebound edge. This could very well go down to the last few minutes of the game. Have to give UConn their props they play outstanding defense.
